  2. Edited to add : I was about to add the theme songs of "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons" but since Strider has got it covered, I refrained from posting those.
  3. And who can forget this?! And this : I also love this
  4. As a kid of the 90's, this show is one of my all time favourites! Thanks for posting, Sath! Also, here are 2 other shows that I practically grew up watching in the 90's, which I love even to this day! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLisEEwYZvw You can strangle me now, Strider! I also really loved the theme of this late 80's / early 90's cartoon :
  5. I love dolls of all kinds. Be it the plastic ones or the wooden ones. Most of the wooden dolls I have, happen to be handmade handicraft items from various parts of the globe. During all the several trips that I took to the Auckland War Memorial Museum, either by myself or with family or friends, there is one permanent gallery which I have always made a point to visit, during each trip. That gallery is called "Wild Child", depicting the history of childhood in New Zealand from the early 1900's to the 1950's. It gives you a very interesting insight as to how Kiwi kids lived during those days. I came across a very interesting variety toys (and also a few puppets!) on display at the gallery, ranging from the 1920's to the 1950's, that have been played with, by actual kids, . I was also thrilled to see a few golliwogs as part of the display! I owned a set of golliwogs, consisting of a man, lady and child. In the days of my childhood (before the onset of this 'politically correct' and ultra sensitive world of ours, where everything seems to have a double meaning - including children's toys!!!), those golliwogs were much loved by me and bring back plenty of great memories! Honestly, I never even considered them to be toys, having a horrid racist interpretation!
  6. As a huge fan of the Garage Rock music genre, I'm just so freakin' heart broken right now!! R.I.P Jack Ely! You were the voice of a Garage Rock song, which was one of the most critical turning points for an entire genre of music!
  7. Uh-oh! Forgot to add these to my previous list : The Wanton Song Hots On To Nowhere Candy Store Rock The Crunge D'yer Maker Boogie With Stu Night Flight Black Country Woman
  8. I have a couple of confessions to make myself. Confession Number 1 : While listening to Led Zeppelin III, I used to constantly skip over "Hats Off To Roy Harper", deeming it to be one of the most annoying songs in the Led Zeppelin catalogue, ever! Then in 2011, something happened that changed my perception forever. One Saturday evening, I watched an incredible documentary called "The Roots of Led Zeppelin" containing extensive information (and sometimes vintage footage) of Blues legends like Son House, Charley Patton, Robert Johnson, Lead Belly, Muddy Waters, etc. After the documentary ended, I wanted nothing more than to explore the music of such legends and I first started off with Son House and then discovered Charley Patton and then Robert Johnson and then started exploring the music of Chicago Blues artists, then swamp blues artists, etc. The list goes on. It has been an incredible journey these past 4 years! With Son House and Patton, I gradually started falling in love with the sound of the slide guitar, thanks to songs like: And also thanks to a nifty little song by an NZ band called "The La De Das" : It was songs like these songs that made me re-visit Led Zeppelin's "Hats Off To Roy Harper" and fall in love completely! Confession Number 2 : When I first started seriously exploring the Led Zeppelin catalogue back in 2003 (at age 16), I used to regard my dad's advise (who by the way has been a fan of the band since 1975) on the band's discography (in terms of what album to get into first, what songs to start off with as a newbie, etc.) to be the gospel truth. That was a mistake of epic proportions, since he made me shy away from albums like "In Through The Outdoor"!! My dad used to deem this album as "80's wannabe synthesized pop" (after listening to it for the first time in 1980 on vinyl at a friend's place) and could never get himself to believe that it was an album by Led Zeppelin!! To this day, he still has not listened to a single song off the album, from start to finish! His top 3 albums are "Physical Graffiti", "Led Zeppelin I" and IV. It was only in 2012 that I bought and listened to ITTOD for the first time and it became my 2nd favourite album, with "Presence" in 1st place and "Physical Graffiti" in third place! I am just so damn glad that I had the balls to take a 'risk' and purchase that album!! I discovered so many beautiful and incredibly sensual gems like "Carouselambra" for instance! Edited to add : I absolutely LOVE the so-called underrated tracks like "Royal Orleans", "Candy Store Rock", "Boogie With Stu", "D'yer Maker", "The Crunge" (makes me wanna boogie!!!!!!! ), "Night Flight", "Boogie With Stu" and "Hots On To Nowhere". Such incredibly fun and catchy stuff!
  9. Another comedy show that I am binge watching of late, is "The New Statesman" starring Rik Mayall (of "The Young Ones" fame):
  10. Binge watching episodes of "The New Statesman" with Alan B'stard!
  11. Whoa, Strider! I don't know whether to feel scared for you or admire your guts! Wow! I guess all the cool kids had a python for a pet! Like the saying goes "This is way too cool for school!" I have never had a pet as I have always lived in flats throughout my life which sadly have that "No Pets Allowed" policy! But my ideal pet would definitely be a parrot! I love cats too but I would love to have a parrot! The reason being the fact that I had a talking parrot as a child and my friends and I used to have loads of fun with it! Also, as we got older, we also used to sometimes swear in front of it, hoping it would repeat it and it did! The parrot I had, looked like this:
  12. ^^Don't worry, Dd! I'm doing great! Many thanks for your concern! I'm really enjoying my drink! Both my mom and dad both can hold their drinks while drinking whiskey and Bacardi, so I guess that it's all in the genes!
  13. More like Bon Appetit, what are you drinking? Well, I am currently, enjoying my first couple of pegs of whiskey! Jack Daniel's, anyone? It's like liquid fire! This is my very first time drinking whiskey and I gotta say, it's sublime!
  14. Thanks for the heads up, Strider! I really really really really really CANNOT WAIT to see it! As a fan of Nirvana, I was always hoping for an intimate documentary on Kurt Cobain! I saw the trailer on good old YT yesterday! So bloody good! Here it is :
