This monster of a book is truly amazing! I have found 99% of the transcriptions, tunings etc to be bang on. Well worth the money. Warning, it is heavy as hell.

If God made a better band he kept them to himself........

Great stuff. Thanks for the post.

Just checked out Pentagram's First Daze Here (early stuff) and it was amazing. Huge Sabbath feel to them. More hard rock than metal (whatever that means). I loved it! Now I have on, Bedemon - Child of Darkness. Bootleg quality (is it a bootleg) but damn that is some fine heavy R&R. Raw and dark. If anything the rough quality of it adds to the experience. GREAT voice. And heavy bass loud in the mix, always a good thing. Of the 2 I preferred Bedemon but dug 'em both. God I love the 70s! Hey Elf many thanks.

Just checked out most of the Sleep - Live at the Regency show (youtube) and loved it. Nice grooves for sure. I am open to anything except that death metal voice. Thanks for the topic and recommendations. These guys need more amps π³π

Hey Steve thanks so much for doing this so we could hear how they all sound individually and together. But like you said, when they come together is really when BAM it all hits! GREAT stuff.
-
Much and I mean much appreciated. Would love to hear examples.

So Steve am I to understand you have files of JUST Jimmy's guitar, JPJ's bass, Bonzo's drums, Plant's voice??? If so that is a freakin dream come true. Any chance we could hear those somehow? This stuff is why I get out of bed.

Thanks Steve. Thanks Strider. Thanks for clearing that up.

Forgive the stupid question (maybe) but I have been collecting bootlegs for 30 years and have never heard the term audio soundtrack. What does that mean? Like someone lifted the audio from a concert film? Thanks Steve.

Just listening to Kashmir, first one I always head to, and it is absolutely STUNNING!!!! Drums sound amazing. Hey Steve you are a master my friend. Many sincere thanks. And Plant's voice is killer!!!

Agree with everything you said. If your list or any of this makes someone discover a tune or version they love then this will have been a good thing. But when I read things like this I just shake my head........ "As my good friend Strider says, too much Destroyer. Zeppelin were well passed their prime by then"- 25 replies

Full Live Best of Performance Compilation
pageluvva replied to HollywoodBowl1998's topic in Led Zeppelin Master Forum
First bootleg I got my hands on as well. It came in a plastic carrying case. I still have that case somewhere. I wore those albums out. I love every note from every song (except the second voice on Evermore, what the hell happened there??!!) so yes, me too, it holds a special place in my heart. Anyway that is what music is all about right? A "better" version for you is not necessarily a "better" version for me. I LOVE Destroyer!!- 25 replies

Hi All. I am hoping someone can steer me to this show. I just tried to play my copy (for In The Light is mind-blowing) and it did not play. I have checked, pretty thoroughly, Dime and TD and I can't see it. Here is the info I have with it. If anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated. Thanks π

Can you sing Led Zeppelin if you are beginner ?
pageluvva replied to makerlimo95's topic in Led Zeppelin Newbies
Anyone can sing anything if you find the right key. The right key for you. And make the song your own. Good luck.
