  1. Sorry, Puffer, only just saw this. Glad you both had another great time down in Cornwall and hopefully enjoyed some sunny weather, good golf ..... and lot's of pasties
  2. While eating a healthy diet is obviously important to one's general health and well being, when a person has a back injury, or arthritis, moving more is not going to help, in fact it makes the pain worse.
  3. Jules, we've talked about our back injuries before and as you know, after many years of various medications, treatments, injections and nasty proceedures, i'm now managing my pain relief with Panadol Osteo and 5mg of prednisone (steroid) daily. Mostly it gives me relief, other times it doesn't. Be careful with those anti-inflam tablets, they can give you ulcers. Make sure you take them on a full tum, otherwise your stomach will feel like you've drunk paint stripper. I can't take anti-inflams, because it feels like the lining is being stripped off my stomach ...... much like too much Tequilla does to me, in fact thats probably what caused the problem in the first place I'm surprised your doctor hasn't put you on steroid medication. It was my miracle cure in a tablet, absolute instant pain relief. Unfortunately it's a very nasty drug, in that yes, it's incredible relief, but it also has horrible side effects, especially with high doses. Even my long term minimum small dosage comes with adverse side effects, but it's the price I pay to be mostly pain free. It took me a long time to wean off those high doses though. As far as your arthritis, one possible crazy thing I would recommend you try, is to go see an authentic Chinese herbalist doctor. You will be given the most gross, foulest tasting liquid medicine you have had, but these Chinese doctors are truly incredible and their medicine works. I can recommend one for you, but he is in the Darling Harbour/Chinatown area of Sydney (close to where we met up actually). Phone me if you want to talk about it ..... and get your butt into bed with some heat packs
  4. If i'm in party mode, up for a session, or out for a big one, my choice of drink is Margarita's. In fact, mix me up a nice big pitcher. Equal quantities Tequila, Cointreau, fresh lime juice and ice, no salt. Only problem is the next morning, when it feels like the tequila has stripped the lining off my stomach. My other downfall is preparing and cooking a fairly involved dinner. I tend to sip away at white wine while i'm prepping. Of course, the more prep, the more wine I drink ..... oops

  6. Hope you had a lovely Birthday Jules
  7. aawwww I'm jealous. I love that part of England. Such stunning scenery and beautiful little villages. I don't know how they handle those incredibly narrow winding roads though. Call into Carlyon Bay and say hi to my Aunti Val and while you're there, play a round at the golf course http://www.carlyonbay.com/golf I used to walk past that place on my way down to the beach. Looks ultra luxurious and very expensive though. Another nice course at St Austells, which is close to Carlyon Bay. If you have the time i'd certainly recommend visiting the towns of St Ives, Mevagissey and Tintagel ....... with the bonus of having great Pasty Shops .... yummmmmm You can have a pasty in Tintagel and then work it off by climbing all those steps and see King Arthur's Castle ..... hahaha This was my fave in St Ives oohhhhhhhh ........ I can almost smell them

  17. Just got home from Sydney and Robert's show. I'm absolutely exhausted after concerting, playing party animal and shopping for a few days and nights. Then today was a 7 hour drive back down the coast in Easter Friday holiday traffic (a trip that normally takes 5 hours). But I had a fabulous time at RP's concert. He performed and sang the music I was expecting and his sheer presence and vocal power were beyond my expectations. It was really lovely meeting up with Julie and her hubby, Rodney too. It's quite amazing that we all sit here interacting and chatting with fellow Zep fanatics from all over the world ...... and every so often, some of us are lucky enough to actually meet each other in person. Julie, you made a very special night, even more special for me .... thank you I'll write more about the concert after I have slept ............ for a week
  18. I'm packing and getting organised for my trip to Sydney tomorrow morning. Going to catch up with some family, do some retail therepy and then of course, Robert Plant concert on Thursday night. waaahhoooooooooooooooooo

  21. My brother is visiting for a few days and he cooked me the biggest plate of bacon and eggs, with all the usual trimmings. I'm going to explode! Puffer, i'll get back to you on my gozleme recipe when I have more time, but gozleme's are Turkish. Particularly popular street fare type food cooked by the old Mumma's and Pappa's in their little stalls. A quick Google pics link below https://www.google.com.au/search?q=gozleme&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=qDJ&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=x54yUYO6BvGTiAfekYHwAg&ved=0CFQQsAQ&biw=1680&bih=896
  22. I just watched the movie The Devil Inside, which is about The Rossi Files. OMFG ........ scared the holy crap out of me. I couldn't move from the tv, I was glued ...... and scared shitless at the same time. It's been a long, long time since a movie had that effect on me
  23. Hot Cross buns ................ yum. Love em, especially toasted, with butter and a little bit of strawberry jam ..... mmmmmm And I agree with Puffer in regards to Strider's chili sauce. I'm a lover of hot chilie's but yikes ...... a pound of them!!!!
  24. Big mistake make spinach, feta and lamb gozleme's tonight Authentic recipe, dough from scratch, lamb with spices etc, feta and various other cheeses, spinach blah blah blah ........ soooooo time consuming. I was over the whole thing before I got to even taste them.
  25. Home made pizza, with my own dough and tomato base. Topping is choriza, bacon, avocado, lots of home grown rocoto chilli, Mozzarella and Leicester cheese ..... and a few glasses of red wine.
