  1. My sincere condolences, DL. A loss that we are never prepared for. I bet many of your great qualities are attributed to your mom. May you find comfort knowing that a part of your mom will live on through you, and that the special memories you have will stay in your heart forever. Hugs to you and your family.
  2. Thank you, scylla, for always posting amazing photos!!!
  3. Can't get quote to work... Charles J. White: Would you really dance like that, even in private!??! The Hole In My Shoe video...what was that!!! I liked that the audience was waving flowers in the air, nice touch! Sathington Willoughby: Yeah, the ripping the shirt thing caught my eye as well! That whole section was making me think 'Flashdance'. After reading the Wikipedia link you posted, I feel bad to say anything negative about the video...looks like it had a devastating impact on his career! Regarding the other videos you posted...think they are respectable (for the 80s). I imagine if LZ had made videos in the 80s, they would look like The Final Countdown!
  4. Oh my...oh my!!!! That was definitely a WWIT moment!! Some images just don't add to the music, right (I don't want to see anyone slithering across the floor!). He did have a pretty sweet jump near the end of the video, he can keep cool points for that! You can possibly justify the frontman getting caught up in the cheesiness, but please, oh please, do not drag the guitarist and drummer in...just let them be. Keep posting, Sathington Willoughby, these are are fun to watch!
  5. ^^^ haha! I really don't mind either of the songs you posted...but the videos are pretty funny/cheesy!! The 80's had plenty of 'What was I thinking' moments...especially the fashion sense (including my own!) and music videos!!
  6. Cheesy, yes...but I actually like the guitar intro!
  7. All in fun... http://youtu.be/DimU1MzQuKU
  8. Happy birthday, ebk and Charles J. White! Cheers!
  9. Oh, Jimmy!!! These are great, scylla...I'd love to know the story behind the first one with the surprised looks!
  10. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family. The photo is precious!
  11. Thanks, slave to zep! It was a really great day!!
  12. Thanks for the birthday wishes, Strider and Charles J. White! Appreciate you! Happy birthday to you, Ady!
  13. I tried this based on your post and I really like it! I like the charcoal base, reminds me of Lush Coalface which I also really like. All of the handmade Lush products are great, I especially love the bath bombs, lotions and facial cleansers/masks.
  14. Love love Chicago, and I love the similarity to BIGLY!
  15. Happy birthday, Strider! And, for your birthday, Jimmy is announcing the release of IV and HOTH remasters...cool!!
  16. GTLO also played the studio versions, which is ok with me, but I agree it would be interesting to see them perform a live LZ show. I thought there was a tribute band that does that, but I don't recall their name.
  17. Yes, he was pretty amazing! The drummer for GTLO is really good, too...I hope you get a chance to see them. Think you would like their singer, too!
  18. Was fortunate to see Zoso tonight, and Amstel is right, the drummer is fantastic! So much energy and talent, the drums have to be spot on if you're going to play LZ! I am in awe of how the guitar player looked like Jimmy and had every move and mannerism down pat! I expect a tribute band to pay attention to the details of the music (which Zoso does). I don't expect them to look or act like the band members, but when they do, it's pretty remarkable!
  19. Absolutely!! It was always a treat to watch the donuts being made at Krispy Kreme, and there is a local donut shop that has a line of folks waiting to get in the door on Saturday mornings, even when the only donuts remaining are plain and chocolate glazed. It is well worth the wait! Of course, donuts are not the healthiest choice, so the older I get, the rarer the treat. And s'mores are a must have at anything that is remotely camping, even over a small fire in the backyard. I know some folks who have made them by roasting the marshmellows in the fireplace, I've not gone that far. Even better than donuts and s'mores, especially in New Orleans, and with a cafe au lait...ahhhh!
