I love the classics with Bing, Elvis, etc, and Christmas is not complete without Jackson 5 and The Nutcracker. I added Mark Harris' album, Christmas Is, to my favorites after seeing him play a few years ago. Simple and honest. And I just love The Grinch.

Saw this recently, highly recommend it. The filming is beautiful, and the actors did an outstanding job. It is a remarkable story, very emotional. As an added bonus, the producer, who was in town for the holidays, held a Q&A after the show (which was advertised as a premier). Interesting to learn that Stephen Hawking's computer generated voice is patented, and he offered to record the lines so that his voice could be used in the film. Cool! On my list to see!

I sense a common trait among LZ fans is that their musical tastes are all over the place. Mine are, too, and I love Johnny Cash...and love the movie about him, Walk the Line.

Thanks, SW. Tupelo is a neat town, painted guitars in front of many businesses downtown. We've stayed here several times before game day but never seem to make the time to explore the area.

'Elvis at 80', just catching the ending of the show after coincidentally driving to Elvis' birthplace home this evening in Tupelo. Had to take pics even though it was dark. Humble beginnings.

Realize that the quote said 'girl or young woman', but I was applying it to myself. If I age as gracefully as my mother (her looks would be awesome, but especially her character), I will be very fortunate indeed. I also like the quote for girls/women: If you want to know how a man will treat you, closely observe how he treats his mother.

I have the 30oz and have turned into a much better water drinker. It keeps ice very well, all day long and even overnight. Makes a great Christmas gift.
