  1. Ahh....long time no see.

Hope you are doing fine, Here it's a nice relaxed quite sunny afternoon. Gotta rehearse later with my new band, and see what it may bring.

  2. Merci beaucoup....at the moment i am writing new songs with a new band, so I gotta rehearse later this evening. As soon as we recorded something I will send it to you.

  3. A lot, hahaha greetings from stoney Holland.....hope you are doing fine as well!
  4. Lol, Bonham.....I am indeed quite a mad hatter! (here is the proof of my immaculate madness, as beeing a videoclip made onto the proof that rap music is easily composed....took me 15 minutes to build that song.....and a lot of wine to wear that dress!) http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=M5yrbmvtfJ8
  5. That's the coolest nickname EVER!

  6. Welcome aboard....hope you will have a good time and good company here.
  7. If the Spice Girls would reunite after 19 years of not playing together they would fit into a phone booth together with all their remaining fans.
  8. Thursday evening in Holland, the last sunshine and a joint.
  9. Cool blouse, Peep.....cool pose too!
  10. Well, Jennings Farm Blues comes to mind, perfectly mixed outtake of what would later become an acoustic number (Bron Yr Aur Stomp)
  11. Yep, been there. A few days before the actual event I got a phone call from Warner Brothers. The woman on the phone asked me what I was going to do in the weekend zeppelin played. After I replied that I was possibly going to change diapers on my kid, she told me that I had won the Myspace Led Zeppelin contest and that I was going to the show and the rehearsal on cost of Warner Brothers. On the 9th we arrived in the Arena, and had to wait for quite a while, at least 300 other people were also waiting to attend the rehearsal. At one point we heard music, Zeppelin were starting to rehearse. After receiving a badge and beeing scanned mercilessly for tape recorders we were finally allowed to get inside. The band was playing IMTOD and testing the different vocal effects. It sounded quite epic, especially Jason's bass drum was deafening. After some plantations about "Second sight" we got a rendition of No Quarter, mostly without vocals.....Robert had walked into the arena to listen to his band play, while drinking coffee. We also got a rendition of NFBM, some more goofy Plant dialogue about what would happen to the young ladies during the drum solo, and finally indeed a mini drum solo by Jason's son (Well done kid :D ..) I also remember them rehearsing parts of the obscure blues called Honey Bee (some might know this song from bootlegs, it was once part of the WLL medley) Once the band finished playing the big logo behind them appeared and some people from a charity action were invited to pose in front of it together with the band. All in all a day to remember, still got the badge, as soon as I can scan it I will post a picture. I also still wonder if somebody succeeded to record the rehearsal, would be a grande kick to hear it again.
  12. Robert Plant Jeff Buckley (check out his Zeppelin cover of Night Flight on youtube, spine chilling stuff and five octaves) Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Albert Kuvezin (From the Mongolian band Yat Kha....he can sing two voices at the same time without trickery, very weird and amazing)
  13. My former band (which died too soon) was called Mean Tangerine.....if you like the name feel free to use it. Other possible names: Girl Nation The Beetles Hindenburg Bhang Lassi (Bhang Lassi is a special lassi that contains bhang, a liquid derivative of cannabis, which has effects similar to other eaten forms of marijuana.)
  14. I just formed a new band called "Slut".
  15. Very cool song from a very cool album, Sheer Heart Attack rocks....thanx for the inspiration, I'm gonna play the entire album now. (one of the few albums that truly end with a big bang)
  16. Just checked Andy McKee, and he is indeed truly amazing....thanx for recommending his music.
  17. Well, I must admit, Mount Everest wasn't really that impressive. But it's indeed great to know a lady with hair like Robert (and with a good taste in music) Rock on!!!! (and now for something completey different.....three dancing bananas!) (greetings from indeed very crazy Holland)
  18. I have seen many sights that left me breathless, including Led Zeppelin and Mount Everest. Looking at you leaves me breathless and speechless (hence the typewriting)
  19. The craziest thing happened after the 02 concert (hope that counts too) After having a lot of fun, even more alcohol and a free absinth (on the house due to the barkeeper who liked my good taste in drinks) I returned to my hotel room and redecorated it in the spirit of Rock and Roll. Which meant making a giant spider web like decoration though the entire room with all the toilet paper I could lay my hands on. Of couse it needed Zeppelins as well which were easily made out of inflated condoms. God have mercy on the poor souls who had to clean up all this stuff (picture shows a part of the yet unfinished toilet paper web)
  20. Both are worth having, the sound of the new version is truly amazing, so are the bonus songs. A few versions of the songs from the new album differ from the original, so it's like having two different concerts.
  21. Yeah, I just saw it on belgian TV, wanted to be the first to comment but my daughter managed to shit her diapers while Jimmy played the guitar sound here was great, only the stupid commenter didn't shut his mouth. Still a day to remember, and indeed it also brought me to tears. Thanx Jimmy (and Leona....pheww you are cute) for this magickal moment.
  22. Nice song and a very nice voice, Kat....sounds like a medieval ballad, What's the song's lyrics actually about? just wondered greetings Res
