It's hard to believe today is the 50th . . And nothing. . I thought today of all days there would have been a statement, a tease, a smoke signal but there is NOTHING. Knowing that Jimmy loves to make a dollar and a cent I am shocked that there is no live show coming. Shocked and kinda disappointed. .

Thanks for bumping this Elvis. . This is my third time through this one Strider. .I wasn't fortunate enough to be of concert age at this time (3 months old:) and didn't know about the band until 1986. These are such great reads they are hard to put down (listened to IV and HOTH while reading). . It aches that as much as I love this band I was never privy to see them so these are emotional for me and I guess for some others as well. It's one of those things like I'd cut off toes or shiv someone (jk?;) to even have Tampa 77 or Nuremburg 80 in my cache of concert goings so to have a detailed reflection like this gives one the feeling of being the fly on the Forum wall. . Thanks Strider:):) PS Elvis brought up a great point. . This show is a killer but NQ TSRTS and TRS are screwed by tape flucuations and what not. . Is there another source that have those unscathed? It makes it hard to get into this particular show with 3 of my absolute favs all F'ed up. . THX again. .

LOL I do remember that!! Thinking at the time god what a helluva view!! And JP's lasers. . oh and STH with no vox. . I ended up in front by the moat . . stoned. . MTV was there and recorded the show. . couldn't believe when I saw that on Ebay about 10 years ago. . Oh And Jason with the stand of electric drums. . LOL Killer!!!

I too was at the Mesa Amp JP show. . LOL Had to break up a huge boulder in the front of my dads new home in Glendale and then he drove me all the way to Mesa, went home, and came all the way back to get me. I thanked him again for that not to long ago:):) Hard to believe it was 30 years ago. . PS I don't remember a opener for JP. .

My second ever show. . I remember it being M UK and them getting throttled off the stage. The crowd was ruthless that particular evening:) Got a bootleg of the show a couple years back and Percy and his band were killer that night. One of the highlights of my life.

I love how most of these idiots say things like "Talented band but overrated". . A kick in the brains would serve them right.
