  1. The older 8mm film (close to the stage) of this show had a clip of Celebration Day.
  2. Excellent news. Finally can put this nonsense to bed. Now let's have an avalanche of official live releases please!
  3. https://wetransfer.com/downloads/888cb47e8ea45c0468f0963351f6fc0e20200302150842/f14533ce2e9641e46794b3f7de2d7f4320200302150842/8a3685
  4. Another incredible gem. I think most are still enjoying the new Osaka soundboard and haven't absorbed this new tape yet. Killer performance. Vocals are mind blowing.
  5. I heard rumors a while ago this Wanton Song source is incomplete on the soundboard. There might also be an audience source.
  6. Here's the full Osaka 9-28-71: (Aud / SB)
  7. thanks for posting this. Great info. All it would take is for Robert and Jimmy to give their blessing to release this.
  8. WTF Really? Well lots of other places to share. TTD?
  9. It's the vibe of the city, fans, parties, the people and characters on the scene, especially back in the 60s/70s. Same as NY which had a somewhat different but equally exciting vibe.
  10. and in HD this would be incredible!
  11. nearly $4,000 for the 'standard' version? Original ones from 1959 go for around $2,000 NAMM 2020: A Standard version of Jimmy Page's Sundragon signature amp is here at last By Amit Sharma and Jackson Maxwell If you missed out on the 2019 limited-edition run, now’s your chance to get dazed and confused NAMM 2020: Led Zeppelin fans rejoice! After electrifying the 2019 NAMM show with the announcement of its limited-edition Jimmy Page signature amplifier, Sundragon Amps has announced that the amp will now have a Standard counterpart. The Sundragon Standard was designed as a faithful recreation of Page’s original 1959 Supro Coronado, which was responsible for the bulk of his tones on Led Zeppelin's legendary self-titled debut album. The Surpro was also used on Page’s other early recordings, including Joe Cocker’s With a Little Help from My Friends. The new model will include most features from last year’s limited-edition version, on which the rock icon worked closely with Mitch Colby and Perry Margouleff to match the classic sound of that famous Supro. Hand-built, with point-to-point wiring exactly like the original, here’s an amp that certainly won’t be suffering any communication breakdowns, no matter what you throw at it. “Based on the overwhelming response to the limited edition Sundragon amplifier, I am pleased to announce that we will be producing a standard production model Sundragon amplifier,” Page said in a press release. The Standard Sundragon Jimmy Page amplifier will be available starting in March, directly from the manufacturer, for $3,875. Head over to Sundragon for more info. https://www.guitarworld.com/news/namm-2020-a-standard-version-of-jimmy-pages-sundragon-signature-amp-is-here-at-last
  12. So going out with Benny and Bjorn "most nights" they were in Stockholm to literal "Sex Clubs", in Robert's words, with Jimmy Page is just a drink? He says "drinkie winkie" in the interview. What do you think he's gonna say exactly, lol? And the ending comment from Robert talking to the camera: "Remember that Benny and Bjorn? We used to run away from your women" 😄
  13. I think you're wrong about about that, lol See this interview clip here:
  14. ABBA revelation: Inside band's legendary night out with Led Zeppelin ABBA stars Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Bjorn Ulvaeus were treated to a wild night with Led Zeppelin back in the Seventies, according to unearthed claims. By Kate Nicholson | Mon, Jan 6, 2020 ABBA were a Swedish pop group which formed in 1972. The band wrote many songs which dominated the charts throughout the Eighties, such as ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Mamma Mia’ and ‘Waterloo’. The band was made up of Agnetha Falkshog, who wed co-star Bjorn Ulvaeus, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad who married fellow band member Benny Andersson – the band’s name itself is an acronym of all their names. The four shot to fame after starring in the Eurovision song contest and, despite splitting in 1982, their songs have gone to inspire the ‘Mamma Mia’ films and musicals in the West End. However, despite the pop music and “squeaky clean” image the band cultivated over the years, it turns out they socialised with Led Zeppelin – a rock band who were in the limelight at a similar time. Led Zeppelin were famous for debauchery with all-night drug-fuelled parties. As a 2014 NME article by Emily Barker explained: “You wouldn’t have thought there’s much connecting prog-rock deviants Led Zeppelin to sugary Scandi pop crew ABBA, but here’s one: Zep recorded tracks for their ‘In Through The Out Door’ album in the ABBA’s Polar Studios. “Legend has it ABBA’s Benny and Bjorn took Robert Plant on a night out after meeting at the Stockholm recording facility.” Led Zeppelin star Robert Plant told Uncut in 2005 that he found himself “being silly with Benny and Bjorn from ABBA, while Agnetha and Frida are driving around trying to find which den of iniquity Led Zeppelin had taken their husbands to”. However, representatives from ABBA have since disputed the claims. ABBA had a very different public image from Led Zeppelin, but behind closed doors the two couples were going through difficult divorces with a great deal of conflict between the band members. Agnetha and Bjorn divorced in 1979 when the band’s fame was at an all time high. They had two children together but just a week after the split, Bjorn had found a new girlfriend. Both remarried, although Agnetha divorced her second husband in 1990. Anni-Frid and Benny also divorced in 1981, and the band itself split the following year. In a 2015 interview with Louder Sound, another member of Led Zeppelin explained how his band ended up partying with ABBA. Guitarist Jimmy Page said: “[ABBA] contacted me. The studio was only known for ABBA and they wanted an internationally known rock group to record there, and would Led Zeppelin consider it. “We had a chat and they said they’d be generous with studio time. We went out there in December [’78], I think. It was biting cold, snow everywhere…” He explained: “I met Bjorn [Ulvaeus] when I was setting up. I don’t think the others had got there then. He gave me a guitar, which was very sweet. A day later I met Benny [Andersson]. “Bjorn was the blond one? Benny was the one with the beard and the keyboard, yes? [Laughs] He was very interested in John Paul’s new toy. “At the time Benny was still married to Frida [Lyngstad]. So we all went out to a club together one night. They were nice people.” Jimmy added: “I was rather hoping we were going to meet Agnetha, but that wasn’t part of the deal!” https://www.express.co.uk/celebrity-news/1224296/abba-news-led-zeppelin-agnetha-falkshog-bjorg-ulvaeus-anni-frid-lygnstad-spt
  15. This is an interesting drawing. Looks like some elements of Shaken 'n Stirred artwork, but as that wasn't released until 1985, it could be done by someone who worked on the album art in 1984?

    Boleskine

Remnants of infamous Boleskine House near Foyers by Loch Ness offered for sale online By Alasdair Fraser https://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/news/remains-of-infamous-boleskine-house-offered-for-sale-online-188982/ A couple working to rebuild the fire-ravaged Boleskine House by Loch Ness are selling charred remnants of the building for £49 a bag. Keith and Kyra Readdy, who want to reconstruct Boleskine House near Foyers in its original design, are offering bits of wreckage from the building which was destroyed by a blaze in July for sale online. The new owners, who have formed the “not-for-profit” Boleskine House Foundation, want to establish a spiritual retreat and guest house at the burned-out site. Past owners have included the Fraser clan, Led Zeppelin rocker Jimmy Page and infamous cult leader Aleister Crowley. A crowdfunding campaign was started last year and has so far generated more than £22,500 of the £220,000 target for donations. But with total rebuilding works planned costing around £700,000, the Readdys are keen to find new ways of raising cash. The £49 eBay lot description states: “You are purchasing one original stone of up to 400g and one bag of charred remains from the fire on 31 July 2019 from Boleskine House." The package comes with a certificate of authenticity, with the promise that all proceeds will be used for the restoration of Boleskine House. Boleskine House was previously hit by fire in December 2015, but a remaining wing was destroyed by a second blaze last July. Mr Readdy (37), described on the foundation’s website as having had a career in property management and hospitality, said: “Boleskine has such a big draw, whether people are fans of Crowley or rock and roll. “The Boleskine estate is a treasure of heritage and history that must be secured for future generations. I believe it can stand as a landmark for culture, research, and well-being that all can benefit from.”
  17. was this announced already? Led Zeppelin's upcoming entry into the Hot Wheels Pop Culture Collection is a tailor-made stocking stuffer for all your "Friends." Five collectible die-cast vehicles inspired by the group's career are set for release this month. Each will be be themed after a specific time period. See them all below. "Haulin' Gas" is a late-'60s tour bus in black and silver, with the iconic Hindenburg disaster from Led Zeppelin's eponymous debut painted on the side. "Super Van" is reminiscent of the old-school Hot Wheels Real Riders, with the band's name in a pink font and the smoke from Led Zeppelin II on each side. The rear is emblazoned with the LP's nickname, "The Brown Bomber," and a vanity license plate reading "LOTALUV" that nods to "Whole Lotta Love." The third of the vehicles is "Combat Medic," a white van with the trippy artwork from Led Zeppelin III on the sides. The fourth entry is the "'67 Austin Mini Van," with Led Zeppelin's untitled fourth album in mind. It's all gold with the cityscape from the record's cover on either side. The four symbols that represent each band member are affixed to the top panels. The final entry in the series doesn't focus on the group's catalog, but rather their 1975 North American tour. The sides of the touring truck invoke the American flag, with stripes and stars in red, white and blue. The Swan Song logo is on each side of the "Hiway Hauler," with an overlay of the best-known Led Zeppelin font. The fuel tanks include an incredible detail: all the cities visited on the '75 trek. Each of the vehicles, which are 1:64 scale models, come with a backing card that shows the corresponding album cover – save for "Hiway Hauler," which features the Swan Song image in full color. All have the four symbols in the top right and Hot Wheels Premium on the top left. The backs of the cards show the vehicles available in the series, which are sold separately by Hot Wheels' parent company Mattel and not for children under the age of three. That probably won't matter, as we envision lots of adults hoarding these wheels for themselves. Hot Wheels has previously given a similar treatment to The Grateful Dead and The Beatles. Some of the pre-order sites are calling the Led Zeppelin series "Mix 1," which perhaps indicates that the rest of the catalog might be acknowledged down the road. https://ultimateclassicrock.com/led-zeppelin-hot-wheels-car-collection/
