  1. You just never know what you're gonna get from a Japanese pitcher. They had to do something to inject some life in that pitching staff. Btw, have you all seen the pictures of the incredible shrinking man - CC Sabathia??? He's lost A LOT of weight!
  2. ^ Which is ridiculous, btw! A bunch of people who have never played sports blowing up "real moment", IMO. I guess the love story with Peyton Manning has dried up....everyone wants a villain to go against their "hero". Two weeks is too long! Get on with it!
  3. Is that a reference to the "Beverly Hillbillies" episode where granny used the beatle to out predict the local weatherman concerning a major storm coming in? Classic!
  4. The next three nights will be near freezing!!! F'BS!!! Had to bring in the potted palms, again.... Hey, any extended forecasts for northern NJ in about 10 days???
  5. Great study....the difference between the highest and lowest of the 60 was 1.6? Statistically speaking and based on the description of the indicators I would say this "study" is flawed at best.
  6. Denver has never played a defense like the one they will face with Seattle. Plus Seattle hung 23 on a very good San Fran defense, while the Broncos put up 26 on a mediocre, at best, Pats defense. When those Broncos receivers start getting hit and Manning starts getting the pressure he never had to face this year - it's gonna be a whole different ball game. I don't know if it's gonna be a blowout or not, but I do think Denver will have to do quick passes, which makes them too predictable for the Seahawks defense. Lynch and Wilson should be able to run against Denver, which will allow Baldwin (who was the silent MVP for Seattle Sunday night, IMO), Tate (one of the toughest wide receivers out there), and don't forget Percy Harvin will be back to stretch the field for the already injury plagued Broncos defense. One thing I have noticed about Seattle this year while watching them - they can be susceptible to the run. A few backs have had good games against them. Moreno was injured towards the end of the AFC Championship game, not sure the lingering effects. Ball played pretty well, but again he's fumble prone. That's the way I see it anyway.
  7. Yep! Saw that gig at the old sombrero, Tampa Stadium in June of 1988 - Metallica kicked EVERYONE'S ass that day! Saw the Scorps in the summer of '84 with Fastway (Syracuse War Memorial), MOR in '88, and the obligatory show with Mrs. Walter in '91 (just engaged and she'd never seen them before) where they played so fast they had to be so coked-up! Really loved the late 70's early '80's Scorps! "The Zoo" anyone???
  8. Very strange....glad you're still in touch with her Slave. Cheers!
  9. My father-in-law has made a lot of trips to the Pentagon, as a guest of different personnel, and he said he could still smell jetliner fuel years after the attack. Even after the building had been repaired/rebuilt. Just an observation of someone who has no stake in it.
  10. ^ That must have been tough for Robert, did he write the lyrics then too SAJ? IF I had to choose one, I would have to go with "In The Evening".
  11. Why has 'Fool...' been blocked? I checked her status and she is not banned.
  12. The 'Walter' family is definitely pulling for Seattle, led by big Seahawks fan Walter Jr. For his sake I should pick Denver.....0-2!
  13. How Many More Times - 4/26/69 - Winterland Ballroom, San Francisco
  14. Another beautiful song from John Butler, to be included on the upcoming release - Flesh & Blood - this is called "Spring Is Coming".
  15. I just don't understand why this isn't a Saturday night game - I hate having to go to work the next day! Last night was beautiful...because I could sleep in this morning!
  16. Something less day-to-day sounds good. MLB season is so long, too tedious to pay attention to daily - IMO. Picking teams to ride sounds good. Let's really work it out in Spring Training!
  17. It'll be interesting to see what the weather will be....
  18. We are gonna see if Denver's receivers can take a hit, that's for sure! No pot pun intended, btw!
  19. I picked them as my team to root for at the beginning of the playoffs, Rick. Plus I don't agree with all the criticism Kaepernick takes!
  20. Walter Jr. is officially off suicide watch, Seattle has tied it up 10-10 with both he and Lynch going "Beast Mode"! Niner's coming back though.....
