  1. ^So, how was the "dress rehearsal"?? Or was that not your ticket? I know it's a long shot, but Dave - please come and play CN at the Tampa show!!
  2. Electrophile, you live in Kernersville? We were just up there visiting KHI a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful part of the country up there! Peace.
  3. Robert looks so different! His facial gestures remind me of Ozzy a little bit. Thanks for sharing, very cool to see visual documentation of that first gig!
  4. I had the exact experience on that tour here in Orlando. Plus they played a lot of slow songs (after opening with 4-5 up tempo songs) and put everyone to sleep. I saw them in '91 in St. Pete, with Soundgarden, and that was an average show and then again a few days later in Miami for a New Year's Eve show. Axl was on the edge, emotionally, that night but the show was pure magic! So, you never knew what you were going to get..... I never took the chance on them again after that Orlando debacle though.
  5. I never really thought that would work and was very surprised when they announced he had joined the band. Bring back Flea!!!!
  6. I am not 100% sure, but I believe it was titled due to Robert not being able to get around after his accident. He was ready to go out, but physically unable to really do so during the time period they wrote Presence. Anyone else have anything to share on this topic? SAJ? Peace.

Sending you some healing vibes - my thoughts and prayers are with you brotha!
  8. Exactly Jahfin. Independent artists are the only ones who are allowed to sound different, because they have more control over their own destiny - typically speaking. John Butler Trio was able to have the #1 disc a few months ago, in Australia, as an independent artist over such musical giants as Lady Gaga and others. That rarely happens anymore - which is sad. Another band I really don't get is Phish. I mean I love the Grateful Dead and so many fans are cross-over fans of both bands, but I never could stand them.
  9. On The Turning Away - Pink Floyd
  10. Beautiful picture and I wish I could click on your Floyd bootlegs too!!!
  11. I have never been into Bob Dylan at all. A couple of his songs are alright, but his voice just grates on my ears.
  12. Dead End Friends - Them Crooked Vultures
  13. ALL The King's Horses - The Firm
  14. Just voted, Jimmy is #1 currently - Robert Smith #3????
  15. For Those About To ROCK, We Salute You - AC/DC (one of the greatest rock anthems ever!!)
  16. Zeppelin was a very emotional, moody band that's for sure. I love to listen to their banter in between songs to see if they were having fun, arguing or just plain messing around with the crew, audience, etc. From Knebworth on, it seemed like that was missing from the band and during the reunion show it seemed business like. I can see where Robert is coming from with his statement. They weren't like the Stones and the Who where the parts of the band where interchangeable as long as the music sounded like it was originally recorded.
  17. Completely agree. I saw the Eagles recently and it was pathetic - especially compared to when I saw them 16 years ago. Zeppelin w/o Bonzo isn't Zeppelin. As good as the reunion show was, the music was obviously missing something. It was the special drum beats that Bonzo brought to the songs as well as his musical interaction with Page and Jones. Jason did a fine job, but......it wasn't Zeppelin.
  18. Yes, great footage - brings back wonderful memories of that evening!!
  19. Hey there linda! We enjoyed the Ruth Eckerd Hall very much. Amazing acoustics!! Easy to find also, coming from mouseworld. I really think Robert's voice is getting better and better. I know many others don't feel the same, but he sounded amazing that night. Anyway, I will definitely be going back there again to see more shows! Peace.
  20. Underrated - based on influence alone. Jimmy Page?
  21. Last time I checked, the Clearwater show that we are attending was sold out - only two more weeks until the show!!!!
  22. Was listening to the 25th, 1977 show last night on the porch! Great show! I am planning on beginning the marathon June 27, 1977 show tonight - didn't mean to steal any of your thunder Deborah! Keep up the great info.!
  23. I'll beat you by a day - July 30! Enjoy!!
