  1. Haha thanks, not quite sure what you mean though haha.
  2. Been a while since I put a pic up methinks, I'm on the left smoking:
  3. Not the greatest version but I do like to break it out from time to time, Bonzo in particular seems to get pretty lost during Jimmy's solo. This was an off night for both of them, with reports of Jimmy having to be carried off the stage and him dropping the doubleneck with a roadie catching it in the nick of time! I've had the Texas Hurricane 22/5/77 newly surfaced sbd on pretty constant rotation the last week or so, being the '77 fanatic I am!
  4. I've been watching Frasier recently non-stop on netflix. I was too young to catch most of it when it aired live but what from what I remembered it was a great show, I wasn't mistaken. Can't get enough! Unfortunately I'm on the home stretch now (season 10), life just isn't gonna be thje same once I've finished it.
  5. I for one think Roger and Pete still do justice to their back catalogue, and they clearly enjoy playing the songs and playing together, nothing wrong with that. I'm really looking forward to the forthcoming Quadrophenia tour live release, unfortunately they didn't tour it in my part of the world, I would have loved to have seen that show. If people still enjoy seeing them live and they still are willing and able, plus enjoy it I don't see the problem. On the subject of the O2 one off show, the surviving members were compelled to do the show out of respect for Ahmet Ertegun who had given the band their start and artistic freedom which came to define the records. John encouraged Jason to play the drums when he was still alive, he even played on the Knebworth soundcheck during Trampled Underfoot. I really don't understand how you can say that the O2 was disrespectful to Bonzo and the rest of the band, they clearly loved playing with each other again and Bonzo would have been thrilled to see his son up there playing the shit out of those drums.
  6. Yeah taylor is still with them, ill be seeing him with them on april 5th here in auckland, cant wait will be a dream come true! The setlist was pretty standard fare, no real surprises although keith is playong slipping away during his set which is pretty cool.
  7. Mick Taylor isn't included in the final bow like the 50 & counting shows?
  8. I assume you're StonedinTokyo on iorr steve?
  9. The Perth show is awesome, but they totally balls up Gimme Shelter. Don't know why they didn't just restart the song.
  10. Yeah these guys are sweet. I got turned onto them by Grand Theft Auto V of all things!
  11. To be honest I can't really remember any specific dates that jump out at me, and '77 is my favourite tour! If I'm being honest I usually tend to skip them. As an audience member says on the famous 21/6/77 recording 'We've had the guitar lesson!' or something to that effect. What would have been awesome was the bow solo segueing into In The Light. The theremin didn't really work without the backing of Jones and Bonham and the call and response with Plant that became a staple of the live versions of Whole Lotta Love. The only one that sticks out for me is Seattle, because of the video. It was cool to watch it.
  12. The '77 versions also gained the Middle Eastern sounding Danelectro and the sweet segue from White Summer/Black Mountainside.
  13. More dates to be announced in the next couple of weeks. They are also playing a date in NZ, so stoked!
  14. Been loving My Morning Jacket recently, Alabama Shakes ain't too bad either, need to listen to more of their stuff though.
  15. The vinyl isn't too expensive for this, might have to pick it up.
  16. 6/25/77 is one of my favourite shows. Always enjoy breaking it out and giving it a listen, just a solid show from start to finish.
  17. They released it on vinyl, my dad has a copy of it.
  18. Just a heads up for anyone wanting to order the upcoming Hyde Park live album, amazon.ca has the best deal on the 3LP + DVD version at $30. I picked one up myself. http://www.amazon.ca/Sweet-Summer-Sun-Hyde-Vinyl/dp/B00FCG06ZQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1380874872&sr=8-2&keywords=the+rolling+stones+sweet+summer+sun+hyde+park+live The deluxe edition is very cheap on amazon.it as well, only 19 euros last time I looked.
  19. I believe the version I got was from eddiethecat, I got the link through iorr.
  20. I'm watching the version of the Glastonbury I downloaded off Hungercity, got the link at iorr. I assume it is the same one you're trying to watch. Why do you insist on using that ridiculously large font??
  21. Working fine for me and I'm also using VLC.
  22. Ah, if you only were in NZ. Very pretty pic! I don't think I've put one up here in years and the one in my avatar is pretty old now, so here ya'll go! This was taken at about 2.30 in the morning on a night out I think so I was pretty well gone at that point. Coincidentally I seem to be pouting hahaha.
  23. Madison Square Garden, 1973. Not sure which show sorry, someone else will be able to help you out theree!
  24. I know that some Stones fans don't like Ron Woods playing, on many live songs I don't like his playing either, he can be quite erratic but he is still a brilliant slide guitarist. Maybe you can play better than Wood but you're not the one in the Stones worth 70mil are ya?
