  1. I have to agree there. I heard that Doobie Brothers song on the radio the other day, and could find myself almost singing Trampled Underfoot along to it. Not exactly mind you... but just a little.
  2. Here's another great video from the NYC show of Black Country Woman
  3. That's pretty funny! But you shouldn't have chickened out... who knows - you may have gotten further than you would have thought.
  4. Someone had posted a while back that they got the impression that Plant really wanted to let loose at times and go all out, but had to hold back a bit. I could sort of sense that too. At the show I saw on Sat, Plant got a huge smile on his face when the crowd rushed the stage, and just seemed to be so comfortable when he completely rocked out to BCW.
  5. American Woman - The Guess Who
  6. I've only watched a couple of episodes of it, but didn't they name an entire season of shows after Zeppelin songs? I think NewsRadio did that too if I'm not mistaken.
  7. "If You Can't Dance" By The Spice Girls and "I Know Where It's At" by All Saints.
  8. I'll just go with years here, because I can't be bothered to check my iPod for specific dates. I love the '75 versions of Black Dog and Dazed & Confused, and the '73 versions of SIBLY and STH. TSRTS is definitely my fave version of Stairway.
  9. Seeing them at MSG would've been amazing for sure... but I think if i had a preference it would've been the Earl's Court shows..... all 5.
  10. I found this amusing. I guess people will bootleg anything to do with Zeppelin. I wonder how many people even managed to get backstage with that pass?
  11. One of my favorites also, but my preference is the live version. I rarely listen to the studio version, but listen to live versions constantly. It takes on a completely different form live to me. The effects on the vocals especially, are awesome. My favorite is 6/21/77 and I really liked the way they did it at the 02. 12. I think he was wearing those pants when I saw the show on Saturday. They're not leather, but I'm not sure what material they are. My first thought was they were the same pants he wore at the 02 show, but I may be wrong.
  13. Robert and Alison seem to be color coordinating now.
  14. Here's an amazing vid from that show. New coordinated outfits! Battle Of Evermore
  15. Sounds like it was a great show. Glad you had a good time!

Oh no.... now that's all I'm going to think about when I see that pic. I thought he looked pretty good on stage with them, but now I'm having 2nd thoughts.
  17. Robert was tall enough, did he really need those platform shoes? Gotta love the 70's style.
  18. Very true. It's refreshing to see some 1980's photos on this forum... especially fan pics. Thanks for posting BigDan!
  19. This outfit on him is drool worthy.
  20. I think I need to take a trip to Chicago.
  21. I wish he did. Here's another pic from the show:
  22. I FINALLY got to see this show last night, and I can now understand why all the reviews have been spectacular. I had high expectations, and this show exceeded it. Alison sang beautifully, and Plant was AMAZING. For the most part everyone sat down, but right before "Black Country Woman" everyone rushed the stage (which Plant seemed to enjoy), and he sang his ass off and it was turned into a heavy song which surprised me. It sounded so good! "Nothin'" was highlight for me, as was "In The Mood" and "Battle Of Evermore". I also think Plant knew he had the ladies going during "Black Dog". During the show one girl ran up to give him a bouquet of roses, and another one ran up to shake his hand, and another actually jumped on stage, but was escorted away. The security at the venue was very easy going as far as video and picture taking went. Even though their website stated "no camera/recorders", they didn't even check at the gate, and everyone was taking pics and recording vids all night. I can't wait another 5 weeks for the next show, I need to get to another show soon! Here's one pic I took during the show. There's about 100 more I need to go through.
  23. I was at the Krauss/Plant gig while Jimmy and JPJ were on stage with the Foos. The sold out crowd were too busy cheering and applauding to worry about anything else. It was apparent that Plant found himself.
