I'm watching The Weather Channel now; looking at the graphic of the US, the entire state of VA says "loss of power likely". Looks like it will hit land Tuesday, anywhere from northeastern VA to NY. Our Governor declared a state of emergency earlier today in anticipation.
Please be safe everyone; this one looks really scary.
I hope everyone stays safe too. As of right now we're expected to get some effects Sunday night/Monday, but not too severe, unless the storm tracks farther south.
Thank you everyone! Strider, I hope both teams will finish the season strong. It'll be interesting to see what happens when they play each other at the end of November!
Thanks, and happy belated birthday to Chillumpuffer too! My daughter came home from college this weekend and the weather was perfect; can't ask for more!
Absolutely beautiful fall day here; blue sky; colorful leaves and right now it's 58 degrees.
I'm not a farmer's almanac buff per se, but they are calling for a hard winter, and judging by the number of acorns and dogwood berries on the ground, I'd say they could very well be right.
What are their thoughts on how people experience music today vs back then (the whole thing: download vs album/cd; digital perfection vs the quirky flaws; albums vs singles; how we are multitasking now vs sitting there just experiencing the music), and what current artists do they admire/would they like to work with?
ebk, I think that must be the closest one to us. A couple of the theater chains had theaters in northern VA/Fred'burg, but I couldn't find any actual tickets in-state. I hope you (and everyone else!!) has an absolutely AWESOME time; I will be there in spirit thinking of you all!
