  1. I worked for the same manufacturer, and got no raise over the last four years. One year with The State, and I got an instant promotion and all the OT I can deal with...
  2. You'll someday have no choice about who you'll be paired with, and have to co-operate with for your own success - you should consider this in the overall scheme of how your life wil run it's course.
  3. Super Bowl>Everything that has ever existed.
  4. "Posing" is out. "Tasting" is in. Get with the times, man.
  5. Again, I can't think of a more appropriate group to delver more "raw power" to the Superbowl Halftime show - in spite of the cancelled shows.
  6. Whhoooaaaahhhhh, Neellllleeeyyyyy! I've personallly seen Jim Launderdale perform - and he sucks donkey balls!!!!
  7. Curious minds want to know about the CURRENT VH. I'm not a VH enthusiast, yet I love "Fair Warning" and think they are the most logical - AND- KICKASS - current possible choice for the Superbowl halftime show.
  8. They stopped "putting out".
  9. That would make me bet against my own mother.
  10. My coworker, the resident T and A expert, showed me a few pictures today that he guaranteed would blow my head off - especially when I found out who the husband was. Anyone have any Mrs. Pete Rose pics???
  11. Hello Victoria - you have shown a natural beauty and stick-to-your-guns attitude, I'm sure you have many peoples' envy. But you come from a new generation that expects more tolerance, and probably an introduction to a less sheltered world when you enter into the workplace. Unless you aspire to becoming a "boiler bully" like me?
  12. Not good news that Dylan doesn't have better musings than Leonardo DiCaprio - although the guy's in every other freaking movie, these days. Great Gatsby, in 3D - WTF is that? Robert Hunter is still active? When I hear his name, the first thing I think about is the ultimate stoner's song: "Promontory Rider". Gotta hum it to myself, not having it on any record or CD, though...
  13. My good friend just gave me the "Without a Net" CD, which was Mydland's last recorded work with them, by coincidence. Especially love Bob Weir's bizarre interpretation of "Walking Blues", I believe a Muddy Waters song that my favorites - Hot Tuna - does also. Can't find much about Scruggs in Austin City Limits on You Tube - was this a PBS show? It somehow rings a bell... Did see some footage of Vasser Clements, which was delightful. Did that guy play the ultimate fiddle, or what?
  14. I tried that Jerry site you provided, Jahfin - but there's so many dates and I don't know which Grisman would be releasing? Don't see any setlists, anyway. I'm sure you'll keep us informed... I noticed Merl Saunder's name in many of those 1973 dates - I had "inherited" some bootleg albums with him and Jerry a long time ago from an an acquaintance that I believe went to looney house and never returned. Forgot about them until recently, but found them to be more wavey than a Pringles potato chip when I dug them out to play. That's a real shame. Will check out the Earl Scruggs revue, I have no doubt it's something I'd enjoy!
  15. I listen to, and play for guests, the original "Old and In the Way" very often. Moonlight Midnight, Hobo Song, Wild Horses, Kissimmee Kid, Trail of the Navajo are all exceptional, with about the best bluegrass jamming I've ever heard. I looked into the other two related releases - I believe called "High and Lonesome" and "Breakdown", but they seemed to contain basically the same material? I'd be thrilled to get a hold of something containing a few different songs.
  16. My town has started an annual Jerry Garcia birthday tribute show, free at the central gazebo next weekend. Cover band called "Stagger Lee", who I have also been catching frequently at local restaurants. Will be taking my family to see "Half Step" (Mississippi Uptown, Toodle-Loo) in two weeks for my own birthday.
  17. Honestly, I could stare at these pictures for hours and not even pickup on the toes thing - so much else to ponder... Is there a "Wikiass" available?
  18. Always fun to see the faces in the crowd reaction, to where Jimi was taking them.
  19. I don't usually care for remakes, but this modern version of "300", with flatbrims and exposed underwear instead of hemets and loincloths, really is inspirational: http://youtu.be/KHUB8HVKUJc
  20. Sorry - raised by baboons, you know...
  21. Yeah - when she wraps her legs around you, it feels like four hands on your ass.
  22. You know we don't tolerate any decent instrumental talent or females who don't flash their snatch while singing, in this country anymore.
  23. It would have been divine if this piece of dog shit would have slipped on some spilled skittles and emptied his full arsonal up his own ass...
  24. My sister lives in Aurora, haven't called her yet, but doubt she would go to a midnight movie. When I clicked on the news story on the internet, a trailer for Batman popped up - no thanks!
