  1. Sorry, Jahfin - that's pretty sloppy...
  2. Reminds me of five guys in a landscaper truck, whenever they pass a female of any type...
  3. Well, hopefully you can think of different things to do, to get out with each or all of your family. I know it's a rough age to find common ground, sometimes. Maybe your dad is in a rut with things he has to deal with - I don't think flipping through TV night after night is much of a way of getting out of that. Good luck - you seem to have a desire to make things better!
  4. ^ Damn, I forgot to ask if that kid was still grounded. Asking for a gourmet crab dinner when you're still in the doghouse ain't the best way to get back in good standing...
  5. I'm not concerned about your language - you will find that by observing people who use foul language, that you don't want to be like that, for yourself. I would suggest on the next TV whore show night, that you ask your dad to go out bowling or get a bucket of steamed crabs, instead. That's the reality your family needs.
  6. ^ I'm noting that there used to be a time that parents set an example, and controlled what the kids were allowed to say. I'm also sad for the environment that our new young friend is evidentally growing up in.
  7. ^ Uh oh - I hear that train a comin', it's headin' down the track...
  8. ^ "Fair Warning" is their (VH) best album, IMHO.
  9. Christ - when I was your age, our family watched Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, and then Disney, hoping for a new Mike Fink and the River Pirates episode. "No" was a dirty word, which was not permitted.
  10. Last night, talkin' bout last night... http://youtu.be/cAgEZJCRjZg
  11. ^ Well, this thread just went south...
  12. You look like someone who I would pour beer on at a party - and I mean that most affectionately...
  13. Tonight, tonight, won't be just any niiiggghhhht... http://youtu.be/_aWFaZgwerY
  14. Agreed. The few popular groups who improved from their earlier material would be Pink Floyd and the Beatles. Aerosmith definitely sunk way lower than ZZ Topp, and the shit Steven Tyler is up to on TV is embarrassing.
  15. ^ If you're going to tag them as "selling out", at one point of their outstanding careers - then they did it with a style never to be duplicated again.
  16. I've heard their sets are short, but I'd honestly pay through the nose to see these guys - if I had it. And nothing would be sweeter than to have them do the Superbowl halftime show. I mean, really - can you imagine THAT?
  17. ^ Not just nice pictures, but totally AWESOME pictures! And I've sat through Ricky Martin and Barry Manilow, to see and hear nothing like that.
  18. As much as I love what they produced (with a lot of help) decades ago, I can't see this as possibly being something pleasant to the ears, now. I saw Mickey Dolenz on some talk show recently, and he sounded weak - can he still play drums and sing? I have a bad feeling that many of the songs will feature a big video screen of Davey Jones doing the singing.
  19. ^ Ahhhhhhhhhhh - O.K. I'm out!
  20. Sorry about the life-coaching interruption, here's my first attempt at keeping on topic:
  21. Oh that Jesus - what a prankster! Remember when he busted up that temple, kicking over tables and shit?
  22. Well, I saw him with Hot Tuna, and all he did was sing songs about alligators and alley cats. He'd pop in for a song or two, then leave the stage to applause. Hey, Jim - we're clapping because you're leaving. Soon as he came back for the third time, with the crowd dead silent, someone yelled "not THIS guy AGAIN?" What a staredown he got from Jorma! Talk about an uncomfortable moment...
  23. Sorry - that came out wrong. I'm speaking about the real working world. You need to be savvy, regarding political correctness and thoughfullness toward all others, to stay afloat. Nothing to do with your life-mate.
