  1. Would all the Zep songs that you can't understand any of the words count, too?
  2. I think "Fearless" is your song, then...
  3. I know Waters is better than what I've seen of his shows - but so far, Gilmour shines very far above him in that regard....
  4. These two songs are mistakes, and of no value - so they should be skipped over. Meddle offers the world of musical wonders, with this in mind...
  5. That chile looks like it would be good served on buns - like shredded pork? I've never tried any recipe other than the standard chopped beef / beans / onions...
  6. I won't visit anyone that doesn't offer some decent beer and wine, in exchange for putting up with their disfunctionalities. I know where they hide the Sambuca, too. I'm going to bring over a big batch of crabmeat stuffed mushrooms, so I can grill and chill outside for a while.
  7. Evidentally, it's what people on drugs prepare for guests. I don't see them eating any of it, as they always seem to have some sort of ailments and distractions in the house. But they won't come to our place to get a properly prepared, peaceful meal - because their kids make all the decisions for them. They can't sit still at a dinner table, even for ten minutes...
  8. Yeah, your hero Ledger really made men look smart, on and off the screen?
  9. Lamb can be treat, but my wife's sister in law makes it really dry, with a ton of lemons, and no gravy. I'm nauseous just thinking about it, but will sit there on Sunday and fork it down with a gracious smile and compliments. Fresh ham rocks, when the skin is crispy, and the gravy is greasy and plentiful. Biscuits, and those little potatoes... Or a smoked ham, with pineapple rings and honey glaze. Wanna swap dinner assignments???
  10. Kind of like the way romance movies fade to nature scenes once clothing starts coming off? Humping those old tube amps can get messy...
  11. What kind of carpentry did Jesus do, anyway? He always seemed to travelling, but didn't carry any tools that I can recall. Moses seemed like a more diligent worker - and a straightforward guy, in general.
  12. We're big Paas fans, gettin' freaky with Terrapin Turtle and Lollichop is where it's at.
  13. The Hallelujah song is the ultimate jammer, especially after bongs.
  14. Absolutely. I actually find the light show stuff annoying, particularly when there is a sudden bright flash or they shine spotlights directly in my eyes.
  15. Me too, just had to snip off the last part about those duets. But now I appreciate the Beatles body of work more. The live footage I've seen of Paul solo has him not playing bass, and I'm not sure how much he did the bass parts on his solo albums?
  16. I'll tell you what's a shot in the nuts. Back around the time "Rumors" was released, I caught alot of shit for wearing a Fleetwood Mac tee shirt. I thought it was, and still is, a great album. And the couple of older songs the radio played back then were great, too - although a different style, as discussed here. But I was intimidated into not exploring the group further, and it seems ridiculous now?
  17. My dad used to havea collection of elaborate looking kazoos, which guests at our backyard parties were invited to play, along with harmonica and washtub bass. They had air chambers and valves built into them, but that was for goofyness only - as it did not function to change the sound of the "instrument". If you happen to rupture the diaphram disk on a kazoo, a rolling paper works as a suitable replacement for it.
  18. Thankfully, there are still some that try their darndest. I enjoy Jorma Kaukonen's version of "Police Dog Blues" on his "Quah" album very much.
  19. Oh, come on! I can't wait to do the whole "bring a bucket and a cleaning woman" and "it's only waffffer thin" lines at restaurants, after everyone is stuffed and complaining they ate too much.
  20. Rush fans? For some reason I pictured them being more content doing air drums or guitar. Or air bass, if that's ever caught on...
  21. The radio has been playing a live Rush song lately, and I was suprised to hear their performance drowned out by steady screaming somewhat like all those annoying girls at a Beatles show. Did this occur at Zep shows? I dont remember this problem when I saw the Firm or Plant years ago.
  22. I've never seen that version, but read that the same props (pyramids, statues, palaces) were re-used in the Charlton Heston remake?
  23. I find Kansas and Jethro Tull comparable in many facets, and would even give an edge to Kansas on vocals and keyboard. I'd even say their lyrics were more refined and intriguing?
