The Pirate Shirt!? As for dislikes, gripes about things that happened almost half a century ago are moot points. I have always admired their warts and all approach. Plant obviously dressed for the ladies as did Page. Effeminate? Depends on your perspective. It is as it was. Damn I miss the '70's! -
We are talking about a court case here, not an interview with some journo asking inane questions and the ever present probing for a reunion. IMO Plant will play it straight, as the only issue as I see it is, whether was he familiar with Spirit's music and the songs in question. What else has any relevance to RP's testimony and the overall proceedings? As far as I know his only input to STH are the lyrics and melody and since Taurus is an instrumental they are moot points. Somehow I don't think Robert came up with the chord progression in STH!? I doubt he would want to piss off the judge by meandering on when basically they'll (the questions), only require yes or no answers. This is not the time to be a smart arse.

Words fail to express my outrage and disgust in this tragedy that was ideologically and homophobically motivated. Condolences and Sympathies to the victim's family and friends and the people of Orlando Florida for the senseless violation of your fine city. My daughter spent six months there recently and absolutely loved the place.She will be shattered. Stay strong!

I stand by my original statement and I do know the difference. Replicas or reproductions are just fancy ways of calling them copies of original Fenders, Gibsons and so on. See Tokai (I have an '80's Love Rock Sunburst) and pre-lawsuit Ibanez LP (Ibanez Sunburst stolen from me along with an Ibanez Dove (Gibson replica acoustic in the late '70's). Re-issues are exactly that, guitars built to original specifications. The most recent change is chambered as opposed to solid bodies. Gibson Custom guitars are always more expensive than Standards, Studios and Traditionals for obvious reasons. From what I've read, any modifications made to his '59 Standards were by him or his guitar tech after market, not factory fitted. Black Beauty is a Custom. When Gibson had problems about using timbers that were "protected", it was revealed they had "old stock" that would be used for re-issues and custom made guitars until they were exhausted. Some clarification would be helpful if available. I have a '60's Gold Top satin finish with P90s re-issue, it doesn't have an aged finish. -

Black Beauty has since been returned. It could be worth anything between $250 - 500K. Not sure about the Twin Neck but it'd be too rich for my blood! It is not a replica per se. They are re-issues built to Page's modifications / specifications. Notably the volume and tone controls have pull / push pots installed. VOS (Very Old Stock) are made with aged timbers that are as old as the original releases. The electronics (Pickups) whilst maybe new are hand wound etc. The same way as they have always been made. At worst they are worth the original price but these would IMO, increase in value simply because of Page's association. Search for vintage or collectors online. -

Hendrix never achieved his full potential for one obvious reason. We'll never know what he would have released or what direction he may have taken musically. Just as we will never know what Page would've done had Zeppelin continued. They are / were very similar and totally different all at the same time. Both exceptional players innovators and influential and affected by drugs that contributed to their declining creative output and health. Appreciate the fact they contributed great music and the legacies they left behind. Who's better? Who cares?
