  1. ... or they could (since it was shot on multiple HDCameras), release a regular version and special edition DVD (with multiple camera angles of the entire performance. Examples: one camera on JPJ's bass, one on JP's guitar, one on Jason's over the shoulder cam, one on Plant, one side angle cam, one close up of entire band, etc...) It would take more editing time for the final cut (general version DVD) and less time for the special edition DVD (release a synced up multi-cam version for the 2nd alternate cam version) and a bonus DVD of the rehearsals, interviews of each participant, sound engineers, etc.. as well as a special on Ahmet). Maybe include some JPJ, JP, Jason rehearsal footage of them in the studio, too (as a teaser for what's ahead)... R
  2. Thanks MissHD!!! R
  3. I've got a few friends there (if they do play there). We'll wait and see until something official is posted in the meantime. Maybe we can get an interpreter for the article... What language would you like the article in??? R
  4. maybe she'll meet up once again with Robert and maybe Alison on the road or in the studio... who knows??? R
  5. so, there you have it. We'll wait until then... R
  6. answer: Probably not to DVD or to stage anytime soon... hope someone will post something new (not just speculation and rumor)... these threads get really tired... R
  7. ... and I'm thankful that the 3 surviving members as well as Jason agreed to perform upon his/his wife's wishes. I'm also thankful that other Atlantic label artists were able to perform (Foreigner, etc..) at his Tribute. I do hope the DVD will have a very fitting tribute section to Ahmet. Additionally, I do recommend the "Atlantic: House That Ahmet Built" DVD to any/all. It really gives insight to him as a person with his friends and other musicians of all ages, genres, attitudes, styles, etc.. http://www.amazon.com/Atlantic-Records-Hou...t/dp/B000PSJDQ4 R
  8. It's not Page. As a guitar player, who owns most or has played through most of all of the same guitar pedals, that Page has used over the years, it's clearly not him. The tone, playing style, etc... is definitely not his either. Other guitarists on the forum will agree, too. R
  9. After reading through 20+ pages related to the O2 Concert, I felt "Led" to pay respects to the man who brought us Led Zeppelin and so so many others, Ahmet Ertegun. Next week, he would have turned 85. Thank you, Ahmet!!! May you rest peacefully. 10. a dvd is in the works (St. Louis show(s), last I heard was to be professionally recorded). not sure about a release date, yet. R
  11. Yep. Seen them, too. Thankz. Maybe, it was an easier decision to get the 2 songs released with the Foos as Jimmy said some time back that it would be a bit of work to get multi-HDCam work with audio completed for a while on the DVD of the O2. We'll see it released sometime in the future. Maybe this is a teaser for jp, jpj and the Foos to hit the road??? who knows??? R
  12. It would be wonderful for someone to videotape it professionally, make a documentary out of it on dvd (and have the proceeds of the sales continue to go to ABC Trust). That way, more people could be benefited all around. R
  13. Pino Palladino is no slouch on the bass. He's a top session and live bass master. He's been around quite a long time (playing live with John Mayer when not on the road with the Who or in the studio). R
  14. Led Zeppelin were not honored by VH1, VH1 just broadcasted/showed them being inducted into the British Rock N Roll Hall of Fame ceremony a year or two ago (when Wolfmother performed "Communication Breakdown"). R
  15. Yes. Thanks for sharing. Dennis Crouch is from Strawberry, Alabama. Great bass player. R
  16. How about a New Led Zeppelin Thread??? It's been a while since there's been something on the Main Forum that's interested me (and I'm sure others) regarding our favorite band (other than Steve's Mysteries, cool trivia/facts, some breaking news, Plant/ Krauss tour dates or hearing from friends here). There are way too many threads that rehash the same old same old. Let's try to keep the forum fresh and moving forward (with some positive, constructive and new info, facts and most importantly: no bashing of others and no bashing of Led Zeppelin/family members). Rules for this thread: (since I created it) 1) No Plant/ Alison Krauss bashing (or any related Zep member bashing) 2) No lengthy polls of which songs should Led Zep play on their next tour (we have a few of them). 3) No "When are Zeppelin going to tour?" threads and the like. I think we have about 20 or more of them already. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- R
  17. I brought this topic up on another thread (regarding the Who). Robert and Alison have added more dates through late October of this year, will be recording their follow up CD and have a live DVD taping soon. It would make sense for VH1 to honor them as they just honored The Who. That could be a good reason to do another one-off. We'll see. It's their decision. R
  18. Yep. He can and wants to tour. He's 64 and has been doing press, making numerous appearances lately (Foo Fighters concert and all around the world accepting awards, etc...) Jones is 62, Plant is 59 (turns 60 next month) and Jason is a healthy 42. If he doesn't do it now/soon (like by 2009), it is very unlikely that he will (IMHO). R
  19. I think with the economy, dollar and all due to the mortgage crisis, war expenses, oil increased pricing, etc... the US will eventually cease to exist (and merge with Canada and Mexico as the North American Union). if that happens, it will become One of 10 global districts controlled by the 60 or so people (businesses) that really run the world's biz anyway. The shift of power from the US being the dominant country to the European Union has already taken place (ever since September 11th, 2001), the beginning of WWIII. So, all this talk about Dems or Repubs is all One big smoke screen. It's really a One party system with the candidates pre-chosen anyway by the powers that be. Look at their backgrounds and you'll see for yourself. (what committees they belong to, who backs them, etc...) Otherwise, how can a junior senator get more backing power than the Former First Lady (unless she was told to concede). It hasn't been For The People By The People in ages... check out the Bildebergs, Tri-Lateral Commission, Council on Foreign Relations, etc... R
  20. The 3Js should just do it alone and if/when Plant is ready, he can join along. Otherwise, Jason can sing. R
  21. Styx (Dennis DeYoung years) gets my vote and also REO Speedwagon. DeYoung has that nasal thing going on and Cronin has that prissy vocal thing going on, so that's my final vote. It's a Tie between Stynx and REO Suckwagon. R
