  1. Thanks, Dave. I'll have to get a copy. Much appreciated. R
  2. Yep. i wish they would have included the entire set for the PBS Soundstage show, too. I saw them in Atlanta that summer and it was an incredible show. "That's The Way" was the best song of the night of the Chicago/PBS Soundstage taping and it was left off. They performed for over 2 hours and it was the bass player's birthday that night, so they did a few extra special numbers not performed before on the tour. R
  3. Give them some time.... Everything runs in circles. All lead singers of popular bands go away for a while and return back a few years later to reunite. Some take 2,3,5 years (some take more time). It happens because they get tired of each other, playing the same songs for years, personalities, etc... and need to be recharged by something else (whether it's other styles of music, time away/apart to rest, art/painting, etc...) Let Plant do his thing. The other guys (Page, JPJ and Bonham) are doing their thing recording and their own projects right now. We'll see what/when they reconvene in their time. Perhaps, this time with Plant away on tour with Alison is motivating the others to write/record new styles music that will be "fresh" and inspire him (Plant) to take a listen and/or do some more "one-offs" at some later time. Maybe they are all working on new music (3Js recording tracks and Plant writing new lyrics) in separate locations. One never knows... R
  4. Thanks, NickZepp and Fresh Garbage, Yes. You are both correct. Gene Vincent originally did the song and Elvis covered it. I believe Zep did do the song. It just seemed like something Robert would sing. It'd be cool for them to do it again (in it's entiretly, though). R
  5. Be Bop A Lula --- Elvis Suspicious Minds --- Elvis Children of the Sun --- Billy Thorpe These also come to mind (that would be cool to see them do) R
  6. Page and Plant recorded one song "My Bucket's Got A Hole In It" for the Sun Sessions project (2001) a few years ago, too. There's a dvd out with them on it in the studio and interview, called "Good Rockin' Tonight" http://www.amazon.com/Good-Rockin-Tonight-...s/dp/B00006IUIQ Also, Page did session work "Come With Me" (Kashmir) for Puff Daddy/ Diddy in 1998. R
  7. Rumor of the day: They are taking the Mothership out and playing on the moon. Satellite feed via internet for the entire world (one more show and that's all)... R
  8. I met Jimmy and Robert briefly in May of 1998 (Clarksdale Tour in Charleston, SC). A friend was a local dj and did a radio interview with them. I got to go to soundcheck prior to the show. I met JPJ in Atlanta in March, 2000 (Zooma tour). He talked with a few of us after the show for a good bit. I met Jason and his band (Tony Catania, John Smithson and Chas West) as a friend's band, Evergreen, opened for them (in May of 1997) in Columbia, SC (Rockafella's). We hung out and talked for a few hours after the show. I've never met JB (RIP). R
  9. Maybe It's the Eagles that are playing Toronto for 4 nights... They fly, too. and they have an L and an E in their name... or maybe it is Lez Zeppelin... R
  10. Good one, Styrbjorn. She and Mutt have called it a day. http://breakingnews.iol.ie/entertainment/s...amp;p=z559857y6 He'll probably go back to producing again. I was surprised that he hasn't worked with Def Leppard for a while. It'll be interesting to see if Page, JPJ and Jason will do an album without Robert. They could call it the music of Led Zeppelin. R
  11. Yes. It is. Tracklisting is on the link provided. http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?...rm=frooglemusic R
  12. Yes. Mick Taylor (I was writing quickly). Thankz. Mick Jones is the guitarist for Foreigner and there's another Mick Jones (from The Clash who founded Big Audio Dynamite). R
  13. I like the "Dreamland" BBQ T-shirt that Plant had on. He must have picked that up in Alabama. http://www.dreamlandbbq.com/Default.aspx?id=84&pid=6 R
  14. Queen +PR (Freddie Mercury passed; John Deacon retired from touring) Deep Purple (as previously mentioned: many lineup changes: Bolin, Coverdale, Blackmore, Jon Lord no longer in band/touring with band) The Who (Moon and Entwistle passed) The Stones (Brian Jones passed, Bill Wyman retired and Mick Jones no longer in band) KISS (Ace Frehley and Peter Criss no longer in band; Eric Carr and Mark St. John passed; Vinnie Vincent and Bruce Kulick no longer in band) Journey (Steve Perry, Steve Smith, Ansley Dunbar, Randy Jackson, etc ... no longer in band) Fleetwood Mac (Peter Green & Christine McVie no longer in band) Pink FLoyd (mentioned above, too; Roger Waters no longer in band) These are just some of the top selling/ biggest bands over the past 30+ years that have also had members either pass and/or leave the band and they're still together. John Bonham's passing was so unfortunate. It is wonderful that his son, Jason, could be part of the reunion concerts and special one-offs. Whether they tour and/or record as Led Zeppelin is completely up to them. R
  15. ... surprising and risky would be for him to record a new album with Jason and tour with the 3 J's (performing rare and new material). He's done everything else except Bard's music (like Sting did a few years ago), Opera (a new tenor???) and Rap (which he kind of did on "The Truth Explodes" w/ Page in the mid 90s. Page performed with Diddy, so there's the rap. R
  16. The Intro is: F, Eb, G and C. Then where the lyrics begin, it's: C then Cmaj7, C7 and then F (at the lover lyric in the first line) R
  17. from Wikipedia: "In 1993 four bonus tracks were added to the album on the edition included in the career-spanning box set Complete Studio Recordings: "Baby Come on Home" (Bert Berns, Page, Plant) – 4:30 "Traveling Riverside Blues" (Robert Johnson, Page, Plant) – 5:11 "White Summer/Black Mountain Side" (Page) – 8:01 "Hey Hey What Can I Do" (Bonham, Jones, Page, Plant) – 3:55 All the four bonus tracks had appeared before on the boxed sets series: "Baby Come on Home" was first released earlier that year (1993) on the Boxed Set 2, and the other three were on the Boxed Set (1990). "Hey Hey What Can I Do" was released in 1970, backing "Immigrant Song", as the group's only non-album B-side. The other two tracks are from BBC performances." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coda_%28album%29 R
  18. ... he's an excellent golfer (does a few tournaments here in the US for charity) ...and a killer entertainer, of course. ... and he appeared in one of my favorite movies, "Wayne's World" (we're not worthy, we're not worthy). R
  19. ... don't forget Queen (after Freddie passed in 1991). Brian and Roger both sing well and added guests, George Michael, Robbie Williams and now Paul Rodgers up front to sing. R
  20. lunch (crab benedict) like eggs benedict, but with crab cakes added... R
  21. New England (Boston 1969), early 1973 (Germany stuff would be great) and stuff before then, too. Bonzo's playing was even more amazing then. any rehearsals from that period, too. R
  22. In 1979, as an 11 year old kid, I was listening to KISS', "Dynasty" (very disappointed in their turn to disco) Van Halen II, Queen's, "Jazz" and "Live Killers" albums as well as Cheap Trick's, "Live At Budokan" until "In Through The Outdoor" was released. I remember my older brothers buying the different versions of album covers. All were released with the paper bag covering the jacket, so you didn't know what you had until you opened it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1979_in_music I remember when "Coda" was released in 1982. It was the only real album that I remember listening to for a while during that time (other than previous albums). Radio was killing us with John Cougar's, "Hurts So Good" and "Jack & Dianne", Toto's, "Rosanna" and "Africa", Asia's, "Heat of the Moment", Chicago's, "Hard To Say I'm Sorry" and Steve Miller's, "Abracadabra" (every five minutes). MTV was new with all its videos (from it's launch in August, 1981). http://80music.about.com/od/80smusic12/tp/...lbumsof1982.htm R
