Good times with FM tonight. This is their greatest hits tour so you can't go wrong. They were all in top form and more energetic than the last time I saw them in the early 2000's. Lots of hugging and hand-holding between Stevie And Lindsey too. Speaking of Lindsey, this is one bad mother on the guitar. I love how he plays without a pick but still manages to jam out incredibly fast. He is by far one of the greats of rock. They came on around 8:15 and played to around 10:40 or so. Great show. Here's the setlist:

1. Monday Morning

2. The Chain*

3. Dreams

4. I Know I'm Not Wrong

5. Gypsy*

6. Go Insane*

7. Rhiannon*

8. Second Hand News

9. Tusk*

10. Sara

11. Big Love*

12. Landslide

13. Never Going Back Again

14. Storms

15. Say You Love Me

16. Gold Dust Woman*

17. Oh Well*

18. I'm So Afraid

19. Stand Back*

20. Go Your Own Way

Encore:

21. World Turning *

22. Don't Stop

23. Silver Springs

Got to agree with you regarding Lynsey, he's awesome! I went watching Fleetwood Mac about 5 years ago as a last minute thing. I only knew a few songs of theirs, but the day before my mate said there were a few tickets left and if I fancied going. So I went and came out in absolute awe! The way he plays, you just can't take your eyes off him. I recommend going to watch them to anyone.

Can't wait for them to come back to the UK, whenever that may be....

Everytime I say that Lindsey is one my of favourite guitarists people laugh. They seriously think he's only good for Go Your Own Way. And then I play them a live recording of FM, and they're friggin' asking me if they can have a copy. Lindsey is absolutely underrated, and not just as a guitarist.

I saw FM at the Birmingham NEC, England, in 2003, three months after I saw the Stones at Twickenham. FM were on fuckin' fire. I am not in least bit ashamed to say that I went with my parents to see both acts, and I think my dad had severely underestimated Lindsey's ability. I have never heard/seen my dad speak, or be, in so much awe in all my life. And he's seen a lot of acts.

There's some speculation as to whether they'll come back to the UK on this tour (I am so hoping they do), but at least I can say I have seen them. I've heard boots from this tour and the highlights would have to be Storms and Go Insane.

Storms 3/6/09

Go Insane 3/6/09

How's it going "Wolfman?" Thank you for writing this post. Five of my fellow co-workers and I just acquired 6 free tickets to go see FLEETWOOD MAC at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on Saturday, 2 May 2009 at 8:00 P.M. What's even better is that all 6 of us are going to be flown out by our employer's private jet to Houston and be escorted by limosine to the Toyota Center. The reason for this is because our employer wants us back in our home town in case we have to work the following day which is 3 May 2009, Sunday morning. I'm working mandatory overtime at the moment meaning that we can't get any days off. It still ain't going to stop any of us from partying. ROCK ON!

Mind me asking how did you get free tickets? That's so cool. The private jet followed by the limo thing, well that's no big deal however :) How else can one travel to a concert? Except for the "mandatory overtime" you seem to lead a charmed life :) No jealousy here... lol, Have a great time, Zeppfanforever!

How's it going "Wolfman?" You can if you want but believe when I tell you that my job can be a real pain in the ass. Of course the drinks during our breaks and happy lunch hour at our favorite local bar across the street numbs the pain better than expected.

I won my ticket at work. My big boss got the free tickets from a friend of his who is a Broker since our employer rendered some helpful services for the Broker's business. And since my big boss didn't know what to do with the tickets and the big boss did not want to give them to his kids or family, he decided to have a raffle at work and who's ever names were drawn, would win a ticket. Believe me when I say that everyone at my employer applied for the drawing meaning that there were thousands of co-workers who applied for just 6 tickets. I was one of the 6 lucky names to be picked. ROCK ON!

That's awesome. Congrats and, trust me when I say this, you'll have a blast!

Thanks "Wolfman," I truly believe that I will have a blast, but the story does not end here. When I hear from and get additional information from an old friend, I will post the results here on your thread. In the mean time, live life to the fullest and ROCK ON!

How's it going fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I still haven't heard anything yet but I'll tell you what I did. I recently contacted someone within the FLEETWOOD MAC camp and am waiting for a response. I do hope that I hear something by the end of the month. I will let all of you know on this thread the minute I hear something. In the mean time, ROCK ON!

How's it going fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? Prior to posting on 18 April 2009, I made an attempt in trying to contact Christine Mcvie at her private e-mail address. I was unsuccessful in getting a response from her by today, Saturday, 2 May 2009. I was trying to see if she could get a backstage pass for me so I can go backstage and meet up with the band. I realize that Christine is now retired and no longer with FLEETWOOD MAC but I do know that she does keeps in touch with the band. I should have tried contacting her sooner. Oh well, I can try getting a backstage pass at the concert tonight. I am so excited about going to the concert tonight, I can't wait. ROCK ON!

How's it going "Wolfman" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I hope that the weekend is treating all of you well. As for myself, what a weekend this has been! On Saturday, 2 May 2009, I attended the FLEETWOOD MAC concert at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. I must confess that I was totally f*c*ed up and I do remember a lot of the concert but there are some moments that I do not remember. The setlist that "Wolfman" provided for you on his thread is the same setlist for the Houston show but I will add some of my opinions to some of the songs.

As for my seating, I was in front of the stage. I sat to the right of the stage, on the floor, in the A section. I was sitting in the 3rd row. WHAT A VIEW!

When the band went on stage, what I mostly remember is Stevie Nicks' beauty and smile. Nicks wore her trademark black wardrobe and still bared her trademark scarves that were wrapped around her microphone. I locked eye contact with Stevie and I waved at Stevie and she waved back at me. In my opinion, overall, FLEETWOOD MAC did one hell of a job. For being the age that they all are now, they sure didn't show it. The emotion, cheers and the big ovations that the crowds displayed towards the band was breathtaking and even moved the band so deeply. Stevie could not hit the high notes on "Dreams" but her raw power and emotion in her voice made up for it. Stevie can still belt out the power and emotion with the song "Rhiannon," she held nothing back during that song. The chemistry between Lindsey and Stevie is so powerful, that you can feel what the both of them are feeling together on stage. Its like watching two Rock n' Roll warriors embrace each other on stage without even touching each other. I remember crying during "Landslide," the eye contact between Stevie and Lindsey was incredibly breathtaking. Its like Stevie was singing only to Lindsey. "Sara" was so emotional for both Stevie and Lindsey, that Stevie placed her head on Lindsey's shoulder. The power and interaction between both Stevie and Lindsey was so loving and emotional, it was hard not getting caught up in it. Stevie can still belt out the FLEETWOOD MAC songs with such fury that she can still electrify the crowds. I LOVE STEVIE NICKS AND I ALWAYS WILL! She will always rank in my book as one of the top 5 all-time Queen's of Rock n' Roll along side JANIS JOPLIN, GRACE SLICK, ANN WILSON & PAT BENATAR. I love Lindsey's blistering guitar playing on "Big Love," this song proves why Lindsey deserves to be along side the most elite guitar players of all-time. I do remember a little of "Oh Well," that song kicked ass! Unfortunately, I do not remember a lot of the other songs. One of my co-workers told me on the way back to San Antonio that I tried to obtain a backstage pass with no results. The staff that was handing out passes was only handing out passes to the names that were on the clipboard.

Overall, from what I've seen and from what I heard from my co-workers, THIS WAS REALLY A GREAT CONCERT! I just hate it when I don't remember alot of the concert as a result of having too much of a great time. I may have to fly somewhere here in the U.S. and see the show again. And this time, I am not going to be f*c*ed up. I hope that all of you have a great day today and ROCK ON!

Fleetwood Mac are returning to the area in June for a concert in Atlantic City. Maybe i will go this time. ZeppFanForever, hope you are having a good time... icon3.gif like there's any chance you won't.

Why hello "~tangerine~," long time no hear! I hope all is well with you and your family. I hope that your sister had a great "B" Day. I would love to encourage you to see FLEETWOOD MAC live in 2009, the band's electrifying performances are still intact after all of these years. I had a great time, from what I can still remember. Take care and ROCK ON!

That's awesome; thanks for the report! I hope I can see them one day! "Rumours" was the first album I ever bought; Fleetwood Mac is definitely one of my most favorites :)

How's it going "Virginia?" You're very welcome! I wish that I could have said more but I do not remember a lot of the concert due to paticipating in all of the extracurricular activities at the concert. I know for fact that everyone will enjoy FLEETWOOD MAC'S triumphant return to the stage in 2009. ROCK ON!

Glad you had a great time Zeppfan. That's so cool you were that close to the stage. I would have loved to see LB's "magic fingers" at work that close. Peace! :D
