Jahfin
Hard to go astray with early Rod, I give that one an 8. Please excuse the poor image quality of this clip, it appears to have been dubbed over from an old VHS tape. It's Whiskeytown on Austin City Limits sometime in the mid to late nineties. Hopefully one day this will receive a proper release on CD/DVD as so many of the old episodes of Austin City Limits have. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIVVj7Zbawc
greenman
8 Pub/Punk rock classic as it should be heard, live in a small venue... ^ 5 Eh, not my kind of music at all. Kiwi_Zep_Fan87
^8 Good stuff! @greenman Well, as far as Avril Lavigne is concerned, I got into her music during my teens and to be honest, I still fancy some of her songs but most of her music gets on my nerves to be honest! And don't get me started on Gaga!! Time now for some psychedelic doom / stoner rock or whatever This is in my opinion, a really beautiful and haunting song! But I really like that song, it is, like you say, quite haunting. I've gone for an oldie. Apparently Paul McCartney said he was blown away when he first heard this, and it became his and Linda's song. greenman
9 although the defintive version for me will always be King Curtis's cover from Withnail and I Since it wasnt rated I'd give that Asteriod track an 8.5, i'm going to have to check out more of their work. A look back to the all too brief time when cricket based fashion was popular in guitar circles.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7c9g7Gzg9Ew Edited October 22, 2010 by greenman

Glad to hear that you like "Asteroid", Magic! They are a "Stoner rock" band from Sweden. I just discovered them last week and I am hooked! Their second album "II" is my favourite realease for the year 2010! Beautiful and haunting from the word go! Since it wasnt rated I'd give that Asteriod track an 8.5, i'm going to have to check out more of their work. Glad to hear you like Asteroid! You can check out their work here (it's a thread I made about them) : http://forums.ledzeppelin.com/index.php?/topic/14653-asteroid/

Jahfin
^7.8 R.E.M. also do a great version of Out In the Country with Mike Mills on lead vocals. A friend of mine is currently going nuts over the band below. I'll hold off on my thoughts for now.
aeonblue
I´ll give it a 6...i must say the "Whoop" annoyed me a little bit.... Here´s a ballad of my loved Gustavo Cerati, hope you like it...
Jahfin
I´ll give it a 6...i must say the "Whoop" annoyed me a little bit.... That's why I didn't want to offer up my opinion beforehand. The music is good enough but that "whoop" did more than annoy me. I barely made it through the entire song because of it. Here´s a ballad of my loved Gustavo Cerati, hope you like it... Thanks, I didn't understand a single word of it but liked the music well enough so I'll give it a 6.9. Also glad to see something posted in this thread aside from the tried and true. I would think it'd be a given that we're all familiar with the majority of music posted in this thread since so much of it is played day in and day out on "Classic Rock" radio so it's refreshing to see someone post something besides that. goldenguitar
^4, sorry Kiwi Zep, but this time I didn't like your song at all . But I know that you'll enjoy the song below, it's Queen at their very best, and it's the best version of this wonderful song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aduNahDPjBA
Kiwi_Zep_Fan87
^8 Yep! Goldenguitar, I did like that! And like I've said before, "Evanescence" is an aquired taste! I love this "Stoner Rock" band so much!
