ledzepfvr
I see that July 22-23-24 is not on their official tour date list. They are playing a private gig on that weekend. Not really sure which day they will be playing. I may look into going if I can.

Steve Z(oso)
TypeO & Deborah J, thanks, we'll see what can be done! Getting out east from our west coast base isn't always easy though... Seen you guys in the park at Santa Clarita a few years ago and it was a lot of fun. I loved the way you had someone's baby up on stage during Whole Lotta Love and you used the baby to make sounds with the Theramin. Everyone had a good time! Thanks Brad, that was our singer's baby! Funny how Zep is now family entertainment, eh? You should try to make it out to our Symphony To Heaven show in Thousand Oaks. Acoustic Zep with a string quartet, it's a really cool & different kind of show!
Steve Z(oso)
Steve, Ain't it great that family entertainment is now Zeppelin fans enjoying the legacy of their music! Nothing wrong with that, you guys have something to offer everyone, and I really enjoyed your show. I'll try to make it to that show if I can, it sounds very interesting. When I saw you before you guys did an acoustic set as well and it was awesome. For anyone who hasn't seen these guys, I can tell you that you won't be disappointed. They are the most professional tribute band of any genre that I have ever seen. Cheers, Brad Thanks Brad, much appreciated! The acoustic symphony show is this Fri night, hope you can make it. Anyone else, too!
ledzepfvr
I have to admit I have never seen a tribute band, so I look forward to checking you guys out this summer. Have read nothing but good stuff. Gives me something to look forward to.
Jahfin
Might wanna try the "Other Bands" forum. This one is for Led Zeppelin, not wannabes. lzzoso
Might wanna try the "Other Bands" forum. This one is for Led Zeppelin, not wannabes. You really are an ASSHOLE. Do you ever have any kind words for anyone? It amazes me that you are still on this forum. You and electrophile must have a alot of enemies on this forum. Maybe not enemies but certainly alot of people who cannot stand you (and hers) ignorant and sarcastic comments. You may think that I am a fucking idiot but, I, at least try to say and post some positive comments. After all, this is the "official" Led Zeppelin website and Led Zeppelin is my favorite band. Whenever I see your Johnny Cash (or whoever that is) avatar of yours, I always think that is so appropriate for you. You are telling everyone else to "Fuck Off" when, in reality, it is you that should "FUCK OFF". I know that I am not the only one that thinks so. I may be the only one who has the "Balls" to say so. So I will say it loud and clear. "FUCK OFF".
Silver Rider
Sam is usually pretty good about moving topics when they are placed in the wrong forum. I guess it depends on where the Zeppelin tribute band threads usually go.Led Zepagain's concert dates have been posted in the main Led Zeppelin forum before. ledzepfvr
Fair enough, I would just never confuse any group of Zeppelin imitators for the real thing. Now, if they had Elvis for a lead singer and did reggae versions of Zeppelin songs... I'm pretty sure that anyone who has seen the real Zeppelin would not be confused seeing a tribute band. To each their own when it comes to tribute bands. I never had the privilege to see Zeppelin back in the day, so seeing a Led Zepagain should be fun. I'll just close my eyes, think of posts I have read on those that have experienced them, listen to the music and use my imagination of how awsome it must have been to have been there. But I still would not be confused as to what was fact and what is a nice imitation.
Jahfin
I'm pretty sure that anyone who has seen the real Zeppelin would not be confused seeing a tribute band. I was referring to posts appearing in this section of the board that have to do with tribute bands. Again, confusion is left to a minimum as everyone knows Zeppelin is a non-entity at this point. Personally, I'd rather see those bands channel their influences into something new and original rather than capitalizing on the tried and true but in this economy you have to do whatever you need to do to make a buck. For some that means taking a risk by being original, for others it means imitating a band like Led Zeppelin.

Nobody else who's posted here seems to have any problem with this thread, its positioning or the concept of tribute bands. I'd love to see LZagain if they could make it across the pond. But as usual, Jahfink comes steaming in with his unsolicited, high-browed, condescending pontification. One really has to ask oneself: does this jerk have a life? Jahfin
To each their own, I don't care for tribute bands. I'd rather pay my good money to see an artist doing something original than a band trying to take the easy way out by doing an imitation of their heroes. It's a huge market but doesn't interest me in the least. Some bands even imitate currently existing artists such as Dave Matthews, Widespread Panic and Phish. I really don't see the point in that but whatever blows your skirt up.
