Strider Posted May 30, 2023 Share Posted May 30, 2023 The 1983 US Festival is 40 years old. Heavy Metal Day was on this day exactly 40 years ago...Sunday May 29, 1983. Not that the other days were bad but Heavy Metal Day was the sole reason I took a red-eye flight out of Germany to make the festival in time. But don't ask me about specifics...I was bombed out of my gourd the entire weekend. One note to consider...you will see Joe Walsh listed on many US Festival shirts and posters as being on Metal Day. He was moved to Rock Day Monday and replaced by Quiet Riot. I pre-ordered the 1cd version. I previously had the import cd singles to collect the original ep of starfleet project. There was a bootleg version on Amazon available for years but of lesser quality.
