JLee93
Mellon Collie definitely has one of my favourite covers. I'm a major Pumpkins fan, and a sucker for all that gypsy/Victorian art. And all of Zeppelin's album covers. And all of Iron Maiden's covers.....except Dance of Death. Oh and can't forget Sabbath's Master of Reality. Charles J. White
The greatest album cover I have ever seen goes to The Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique which is 5 album covers wide that folds out: Edited April 15, 2013 by Charles J. chillumpuffer
This is a classic inner sleeve from the Welsh band Man: It folds out from the gatefold inner sleeve and i have a copy which is in great condition. I love the way the pole bearers are pushing Wales away from England. The front cover of the album: Edited April 15, 2013 by chillumpuffer
TypeO
A few already mentioned I like - Roxy Music Stranded LZ Physical Graffiti Black Sabbath Mob Rules Always been a fan of Hypgnosis covers - they did a lot of Floyd and Zeppelin covers. Hypgnosis covers in particular I've always liked include: UFO Obsession Led Zeppelin Presence Scorpions Lovedrive Special mention for Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here The front cover with the guy in flames has the section where it looks like it's burning the boundary of the photo, and the back cover of the man on the sand dune has what looks like a tear in the cover where sand is pouring out. As a graphic artist, this kind of attention to detail thrills me. Some of the NON-Hypgnosis covers I like: The Cult Sonic Temple This is the ultimate classic guitarist pose, with the bonus classic singer-throwing-their-long-hair-back pose in the background. I just recently discovered this album cover from Dead Soul Tribe, and the music is really good, as well. What I like is how well the cover illustrates what I might imagine a dead soul to appear - kinda of blurry and indistinct yet with recognizable features and the inclusion of flames. Really well done, IMO.
