Not that I'm against ties 100%...they have their place. A well-tailored suit and tie can make any man look good. But I would hate to have to wear them all week long. A strip of cloth tied in a knot at the neck and dangling down the front of their chest. The guys at work sometimes flip them over their shoulder to get it out of their way.That being said, it does make a sharp dressed man look fine. And there are alot of fun ties out there.
