Rush

Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.

After finishing 2007 with the No. 25 top-grossing tour of the year, Rush will return to the road for a 40-plus-date outing next April in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Canadian rock trio will make rare visits to such locales as Austin, Texas; Orlando, Fla.; New Orleans; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Winnipeg, Manitoba, and will play as-yet-unannounced new venues in Chicago; Detroit; Philadelphia and Seattle. The full itinerary will be unveiled next month.

This year's tour in support of the album "Snakes & Arrows" grossed $29.7 million and drew more than 517,000 fans to 48 shows reported to Billboard Boxscore.

Rush recently scored a Grammy nomination in the best rock instrumental performance for the "Snakes & Arrows" track "Malignant Narcissism."

If they come to Utah I'll finally be able to see them with my uncles and cousins...

They've come 3-4 times in the past 5 or so years and I've never heard about it until AFTER my uncles and cousins have got the tickets.

Not gonna miss 'em again.

I saw them in 82 for the Moving Pictures tour and they put on an amazing show.I would love to see them again.Kyna is from Canada and was only one at that time B) She's not a Rush fan but I think that she would have a different opinion if she saw them live!....I could be wrong though :)

I bought that album when I was on leave from the Marine Corps. It had just been released and a good friend of mine and I listened to that record over and over.We were absolutely blown away by it.I knew that record inside and out. When I came back to the base two weeks later another friend said that he had tickets to see Rush that following month.I gladly went and they played in a venue that held no more than 3000 people. The sound quality and their precision was incredible. They played the whole Moving Pictures album and I was amazed by their attention to detail! I remember thinking,'That's a lot of noise coming from 3 dudes' :o

I love that album too!!!

Feeding cattle from helicopters? What on earth are you talking about? But yeah, the winters here are sometimes bad, and sometimes not so bad. I think the spring is much worse, personally, when it comes to snowfall and everything. There have been a few times in the past couple of years where we were literally snowed in because of blizzards. Not fun, but at least it melts eventually.

But thank you for the list! :D I will definatly try to bug my dad into going when the dates are actually released. Red Rocks is my favorite venue here, and it's very close to my house too. It's also a good place to go walking if you want to get some exercise and stuff.

Oh god, I hadn't heard of that. I remember a couple years ago they moved a moose somewhere by carrying it on a helicopter, but I don't remember feeding cattle from one.

Actually, the worst part about the winter storms here is trying to go out and do anything after the storms are done. seriously, even after they plow, it's still difficult, because the snow just piles up like mountains.
