An Apology In a recent posting I said I had a BOJ clipping from June 1968..however on collecting the ad from Tamworth archives I was dismayed to find the gig was actually from January 1968..oops...sorry..hope the Plant time line isn't put too much out of sync..here it is anyway- Sorry. Madeline Bell sang on Robert's 1967 solo single; and since Bonzo also played on that single, it means that Bell is the only known person who played with all 4 members of Zep prior to 1968. 3. looks like Robert started his new "Band Of Joy" much later than previously believed. 4. now we know why Robert's new "Band Of Joy" failed -- the original group owned the trademark to the name!! 5. Always wanted to know who those female backing voices were on his early recordings. Kiki Dee, Madeline Bell, and Lesley Duncan. Interesting thing is there is connection later with Robert Plant and Donovan. The song 'Goo Goo Barabajagal' is often speculated Robert sang on this (more than likely he didn't). Madeline Bell and Lesley Duncan however both did sing on this recording. THE WAY OF LIFE - Source Flyer 1) Friday 22nd July 1966 - Ritz & Dance Club - Kings Heath Regarding The Tennessee Teens flyers, my notes show when Robert joined that three-piece, Tamla Motown-influenced group it prompted their name change to Listen and there is a Listen date for Stoke-on-Trent in Feb 66. My question for the forum - is there any evidence to support the Tennessee Teens flyers have anything whatsoever to do with Robert given I believe he was gigging with The Delta Blues Band, The New Memphis Bluesbreakers, Black Snake Moan, The Banned and The Crawling King Snakes during this time? I may have misunderstood Chris Welch, who may have meant Robert joining the The Tennessee Teens eventually prompted the name change to Listen. Thursday 14th September 1967 I am seriously curious about this alleged tour of Germany as so far as I know Robert has never mentioned having toured beyond the UK prior to Led Zeppelin. I wonder if it as well as the tv appearance really happened? Interesting to note JPJ also toured Germany in '67 (with Herman's Hermits), though he only recalls one gig - Hamburg.
