Hotplant
At this time I have NO idea what he needs. I'd love to see him play again though. I'm not really into this Xmas lineup...especially 2 nights worth. That's why I don't have tix. For the first time I remember, it's NOT sold out. It'll sell out with walk ups though. Jack of The Woods is gonna the gig! Yeah, I hear ya. I just saw the line up. I agree, but you're right Jack of The Woods will be cookin'. Wonder if they have a special keg on tap ready to crack for this Jam..Good Beer!! You're right EL, this is nothing NEW to JPJ!! He was doing this way before Robert. ocean
JPJ comes to Asheville quite a bit. He comes to The Orange Peel and hangs out at the mixing board. He seems to like it here a lot. What's NOT to like about Asheville?

Kentuckygirl
KG we met at Plant/Kraus didn't we? Happy Holidays to you! Maybe. I was the one that had a couple of drinks and asked "but why can't Jimmy Page do the singing"? Are you one of my Zeppelin tutors? Happy Holidays to you, I bet Asheville is beautiful right now! Rock N' Rollin' Man
You're welcome, glad I could be of assistance. I thought you were ragging on me at first. No, I just put that on there to kind of confirm what you were saying it did look like it though but no I wasn't. Everything is sounding great. Kentuckygirl
I'm the one who had the huge oil painting I did of Plant that he signed for me. No, I did not see an oil painting. I am sure I would have remembered. That is great that you were able to have it signed! Maybe we will meet at a future concert. I am usually with a Nashville contingent, but I love meeting Zep fans at shows! I met so many nice people during the Raising Sand tour. reids
It would be great if Jimmy shows up! Don't think so though. I would love to hear Jimmy play Bluegrass, and any Bluegrass band would welcome Jimmy with open arms on acoustic guitar. JPJ comes to Asheville quite a bit. He comes to The Orange Peel and hangs out at the mixing board. He seems to like it here a lot. What's NOT to like about Asheville? JP has appeared/played at several bluegrass festivals in NC over the past few years, too. JP, JPJ and Jason ought to record a bluegrass album of Led Zep instrumentals and tour on it (with perhaps a few new tunes in there for good measure). Maybe Plant would come around and join in (since it's not loud music). (just having a little fun here)... It would be a good/common meeting place. ocean
It will be rebroadcast in it's entirety...along with highlights from the NEXT TWO NIGHTS on 12/31/08 (New Years Eve) beginning at 6:00pm EST on the same link.
mos6507
Hmmm, from what JPJ has said, they're not very interested in bluegrass now. They want it to be loud. It's not that JPJ doesn't like soft stuff, it's that he thinks Robert doesn't want to do loud stuff. JPJ was very clear that he likes both. However, with Jason in the rehearsals, they probably aren't running through stuff like Going to California or That's the Way that often. We know JPJ, JP and Jason want to ROCK. We want them to rock, too. I wouldn't mind seeing them do an acoustic tour/album , too. (anything is cool really)... It would be cool to see them do an all acoustic bluegrass album and mini-tour though. "It might get acoustic" (could be the tour name).... pop
John Paul jones and Waren did some awesome Zeppelin at Bonaroo....i guess they'll do some more!! Joan Osborne is on the bill as well-perhaps She will seem an obvious choice as a singer/writer with the new band with jimmy et al. She is a great choice as she can write and sing sublime songs as well as absolutely wail straight out rock and soul. I would love to see her with the boys!
