I don't think The Doors would have just carried on indefinitely with a predictable album/tour cycle if Jim had lived. Each member of that band was/is intelligent and creative with many diverse interests - in music, film, literature and theater. Jim would be a writer certainly, and most likely involved with experimental films and plays.
