  1. Past hour
  2. Please don't ever use the term Bro here as you immediately lose any and all credibility when you do so. This has been a public service announcement, and I am a pink toothbrush. Good-night.
  3. Jimmy IS a working musician. Right now he is WORKING on that hot tamale he has and doing his best to make her sing. In other words, he skipped right over the gigging part and went straight for the after-party. Good for you Jimmy, you earned it...this Scarlet's for you!
  4. According to Florence Henderson, she will neither confirm nor deny the rumours. Williams on the other hand has eluded strongly to a meage a trois between him, FloHo, and Susan Olson so... This is what happens when a hot, horny housewife widow gets with an architect more interested in his "drawings" than his hot wife. Utter pandemonium. Now Shirley Jones and David Cassidy, oh yea, the both admitted to that deed. Jones went so far as to say when it came to sack time, the acorn did not fall far from the tree. Now THAT is a free spirit. Damn, if I thought my dad would have hooked up with a dame like Jones I would have actively encouraged the disillusionment of my parents marriage to tap dat ass. YEEEE HAWWWW!!!!
  5. Today
  6. Yep! The extremists on both sides somehow are allowed to frame the debate and rational, logical, fact-based debate becomes totally impossible. Who ever screams the loudest, acts the most absurd, gets to be covered by the media. And now we have a "media source" for everyone's personal point of view, that way they never even have to consider any other ideas. Ever heard of the Dunning Kruger Effect https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunningā€“Kruger_effect or Confirmation Bias https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias ? That's what's going on here...
  7. This is the problem at the moment. The left to the right - looks like ^that. The right to the left look like what gibsonfan159 proposes. ^these are the loudest - but NOT majority groups within each "camp". The fact their even are distinctive camps at all is so stupid. Can one not have views on a range of topics that are left in some quarters and right in others? - or God forbid - fairly central/flexible somewhat/non-extreme? You know - like drawing conclusions or having positions on things because you think the position is fair (including some flexibility realising there are millions of others with different views) regardless of where on the bullshit "left--right" specturm it fits??? People who really rally around a single "side" and try to find a position on everything that aligns with that "side" are either too hardcore to have any meaningful dialogue with or are simply untrustworthy/dishonest. I'm telling you - if this rubbish keeps up, kiss goodbye to a progressive functioning democracy. While this complete bullshit distracts us all - in comes surveillance and security laws that will fundamentally shift the liberty and freedoms we take for granted. In comes the disintegration of fact/data/honesty/truth in political and public discourse eroding any ability to deal with important emerging questions. If the democratic west stalls now - why wouldn't the rise of Authoritarian style government continue to ascend? Do you really think the west is immune from a slide away from democracy??? It's already underway. But we are too distracted to see or care. In 100 years is this period of time going to be looked back upon as anything but a sad tragedy for what the current political reality (worldwide) is??? It is great in a democratic sense that we challenge the status-quo/system - but to what end? It seems to be a fight that has no goal or logical conclusion other than to self implode the Western democratic system that has until recently served us well. But what comes next?
  8. Three of the Greats, Paul, Bart, and Vince...
  9. One cannot have a serious discussion about the greatest quarterbacks of all time without mentioning Bart Starr. A truly great man.
  10. Yesterday
  11. Couldn't have possibly made my point any clearer.
  12. R.I.P. Bart Starr! One of the greats!

  18. So I saw the exhibit this weekend. Liked it a lot. Jimmy is on film playing bits of Stairway, Kashmir and Communication Breakdown. All with commentary about the guitars etc... Pretty cool but a shame he has become a museum artefact as opposed to a working musician!!!
  19. Black Dog - International collaboration recorded last year. They've also recorded Rock And Roll & Whole Lotta Love Alyona Yarushina (Russia) - Vocals Andrei Cerbu (Romania) - Guitar Sina (Germany) - Drums Mike Wilbury (Germany) - Bass Mike is Sina's dad, and he did not wish to appear in the video.
  20. Yeah, gotta love those logic and debate skills coming from the other side.
  21. Fabulous!!! I was at the show on the 30th
  22. I can't take it, I want Hockey!!!!!!
  23. Tomorrow, Memorial day, will be 42 years to the day that I saw Led Zeppelin in Landover, MD. Advertized as Washington DC of course the concert was at the old Capital Centre.
  24. Yes, this idea was discussed on the recent LA75 Soundboard thread. Definitely plausible, but then people would have their money tied up in one way or another waiting for the order list to grow to sufficient size. Since EV hasn't opted to go this route, probably we can conclude that this market simply isn't big enough.
  25. To quote Mick Jagger - Who's fighting and what for? Why are we fighting! Bootlegs are a key component of the Zeppelin (and many other's) legacy. I find it quite enjoyable and necessary to discuss various gigs with the people in this forum. I'd love to see a Netflix type doc on this topic. They can start with the legend about Bob Dylan's Great White Wonder and cover everything from Mike Millard to the Grateful Dead and Phish, etc. Could not agree more......
