  1. The one time JP fulfilled his promise of a solo album. Not like today, when he keeps saying in interviews of the new material he's working on. The record keeps spinning and just lift the needle!
  2. I was thinking along those lines as well. I guess Pat was feeding him well the last six months or so!
  3. Perhaps, it never happened. Especially, when it comes from a social media post. I'd have my doubts about it.
  4. What an awesome gesture by Robert. Very cool! We need more people like him and less of the all me types.
  5. Jut saw your show is rescheduled for September 6th. I made a good guess. They've also added a few more shows.
  6. I was at this show and what a great version this was. The two of them were made for each other. It was an incredible show and I felt it was much better than in 2008 when I saw them in NYC. It was more rocking and the addition of JD McPherson to their band definitely helps. He's also the opener on tour.
  7. According to LedZepNews.com, they plan to reschedule the show. Looking at their tour schedule, my guess is Sept. 6 and last show of US Summer tour two days after playing Austin.
  8. Very cool and thanks for sharing. Robert is wearing the same jacket when I saw them in Philly on June 12th.
  9. That really stinks. I hope they reschedule it as they are returning in the Fall. Nothing you can do about the weather, just bad timing. Glad you enjoyed what you saw and J.D. who is phenomenal. You were one song short of the firt LZ song of the show which is a reworked version of RNR.
  10. That's awesome. You will enjoy it so much. They put on a great show and they have a great band with them. Make sure you are there for J.D. McPherson as the opener as he's also in their band.
  11. I went to the Philly show on Sunday and I thought it was much better than the show I saw back in 2008 in NYC. The two of them feed so well off each other and it was much more of a rocking. That's what happens when you add J.D. McPherson to the band. He's phenomenal and from Tulsa, OK. He was also the opening act. He did his own stuff plus Iggy's "Lust For Life." The crowd was really into both his and Robert's and Alison's set. "Battle of Evermore" was epic. Here's a few clips from the show. Not filmed by me. The below includes a bit on the fiddle by Alison and "Friends."
  12. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss two days ago in Philly at The Mann Center. Great show and I thought they were much better than when I saw them in 2008 on their Raising Sand tour. It definitely rocked more. Opener J.D. McPherson was also great and is also the lead guitarist for Robert and Alison's band. Not often the opener is also part of the main act as well.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if it's from the BBC in 1971.
  14. I was watching the "When The Levee Breaks" video from the CPAC show and Alison is certainly playing bits of "Friends" on her fiddle. Very cool! We have two songs in one perhaps!
  15. That's awesome. But, hoping for a couple more LZ songs then just three of them. I'm from the NYC area but won't be seeing them at Forest Hills this weekend but in Philly the following weekend. We have six of us going and should be a fun weekend!
  16. That is strange. They did these countdowns often on the NYC rock stations for Memorial Day weekend and 4th of July as well. I enjoyed these. Some rock stations still do these, even though much of the countdown is the same with a few additions like REM, U2, Metallica among them.
  17. This is just awesome and cool raw sound. The video is very clear considering it's nearly 52 years old. Well done, whoever shot the footage and synched the audio.
  18. I have that show and agree it's a bit rough.
  19. Lot of votes for 6/21/1977. My personal fave as well. Jimmy is playing great and Bonzo is insane. Love Bonzo's drum intro and Jimmy's chords before it begins. Love the break just before "Sing out Hare, Hare" with JP and JB. It's a killer part of this version. Many other great versions from MSG in 73, Japan 1972 as well as Offenburg and Stoke in 73.
  20. This is probably why not much was done for the 50th anniversary of the band. Perhaps, Jimmy wanted to release stuff but since all were probably not in agreement, it didn't happen. Just a guess.
  21. Classic show and one of my all time faves. One of the first bootleg shows I heard.
