  1. Rest In Peace to the great Frank Vincent - Raging Bull Goodfellas Casino Sopranos Also was a Big Band Jazz Drummer
  2. Patriots looked out of sync and KC looked sharp. It happens. Losing Hightower and Amendola, not having Edelman, working in new players.... But no excuses. Let's see how they bounce back. Maybe it was Superbowl hangover.
  3. I caught this double bill at The Orpheum Theater in Boston. Both acts were excellent. JPJ, in case some here aren't aware released Zooma and The Thundertheif on Fripp's Discipline Global Mobile label (DGM).. Fripp guested on Leafy Meadows and Trey Gunn appeared on Zooma. Fripp recommended Nick Beggs to Jones when Trey Gunn couldn't tour with him.
  4. Thanks. You as well BledZabbath! Been a fan a long time. They're still one of my favorites
  5. Rest In Peace to Haruo Nakajima. 中島 春雄 (January 1, 1929 – August 7, 2017) He played Godzilla for twelve consecutive films, from Godzilla (1954) to Godzilla vs. Gigan (1972). From B Movie Mania on fb
  6. The vast majority of lyrics were written by Geezer. Ozzy usually came up with the vocal melodies. Geezer would write words to Ozzy's melodies.
  7. Man that's weird.. that was originally a thumbs up .. not a question mark..
  8. Tough crowd.. Holy shit. go easy.. When I was around 13-14, a girl and I that were going out argued constantly who was better Aerosmith or Led Zeppelin to the point we broke up.. Didn't make world headlines either, but still kind of funny..
  9. I remember reading Gary Oldman was supposed play Jimmy.. He's one of the world's best living actors, so I don't doubt he would have been great. I doubt the screenplay being any good. I'm also in the thorough Documentary camp. A bio pic would most likely be terrible no matter how good the cast. I would have loved to see Sacha Baron Cohen play Freddie Mercury.. I mean seeing it is happening.. Shame that didn't pan out.
  10. Thanks for clarifying JTM. Even more of an honor for Jimmy to be representing his homeland..
  11. It can be. A lot of negativity lately, but look around a bit and you'll find some good stuff. Won't happen. They still have more dignity and integrity than just about any other major band.. WTF NOBODY (Jimmy Robert or John Paul) as far as I know has ever mentioned, suggested, hinted, said in jest ANYTHING about ever playing the SUPERBOWL halftime show.. Let's not pull what if's out of the sky and shit on the band in case they might do it some day.. There's No chance this will ever happen. So? That was Jimmy not Led Zeppelin.. Besides Jimmy likes to get across to other music styles and cultural boundries and couldn't care less what anyone thinks..It's a huge honor to participate in the Olympics opening ceremony.
  12. Absolutely. I saw him a few months ago and really liked it.
  13. Anyone else here besides me find the Hologram Tour idea a bit much? A tribute DVD, memorial concert tour...An encore Hologram song or two.. ok fine. This doesn't sit well with me. Too much. Wendy Dio is getting crucified on Blabbermouth for this.. Let him Rest In Peace.
  14. I agree. I like that too. I love Vai, Satriani, John 5, Yngwie, Paul Gilbert, Uli Roth etc... Buckethead is cool in small doses. They all can do incredible things. I find Satriani the easiest to get into out of them all because he's so melodic. I have to be in the mood for Vai even though he's is probably my favorite of the players I listed. Rising Force is really the only Yngwie album I love, but I still think it's pretty incredible.. Slash is a nice cross section of strong lead and rhythm.. He has some soul and melody on his playing.
  15. Same here. I saw Mike Stern / Eric Johnson double bill last year. I met him briefly too, very cool guy. I mentioned Joe Bonamassa not because I'm his biggest fan, (I am a fan) but because he's an excellent guitarist that crosses over so well. I prefer instrumental music these days.
  16. So many different players and styles.. Joe Bonamassa covers a lot of ground on guitar. Great voice too.
  17. Rest In Peace all listed above. Ed Wood is in my top 10. Love Landau as Lugosi. Linkin Park is a band my wife and daughters love and I think they have a pretty cool unique blend of styles. Such a shame. Rest In Peace also to John Heard aged 71. He was great in everything I've ever seen him in. Especially a WGBH (PBS) Boston version of The Scarlet Letter with Meg Foster. Also in Cat People, Heaven Help Us, Home Alone, The Sopranos etc.. Under rated.
