  1. Jimmy Page made a decision to play well so he could impress fans of Adrian Vandenberg , Steve Vai and Whitesnake? Probably not. More comic relief? Amazing how little credit and respect we can muster for JP here.
  2. My comment wasn't necessarily directed at anyone and i'm not asking for anyone's fan credentials. The internet is awash with people using cultural events to say something about themselves rather than the effect of the event itself. "Your Perfect Smile Betrays Your Lack Of Style". What I appreciate about Lemmy is that he saw through the bullshit, called it out, and was unapologetic about speaking his mind. For true fans, the respect he earned is grounded more in these characteristics and less in his lifestyle and image. When the internet tributes dry up, the true fans will remain. If Motorhead is your thing, crank it up.
  3. Funny how when someone dies, "fans" come out of the woodwork.
  4. You need this forum to help you decide if letting an animal suffer is disgusting? Is this post a joke? In case it isn't, it's not about ending the animal's life. It's about ending your selfishness and being a responsible pet owner.
  5. 1977-06-26. Couple this with likely the finest late era "White Summer>Black Mountainside" and it would appear we have the all-timer.
  6. "Very special". "Really really good". Who are you, the band's press agent? Low grade dog food. Routine delivery of weak material. Normally Vinnie Appice would be enough to hold my interest, but not here. What this song does is magnify the void left behind by RJD. A tribute to Dio should include some above average songwriting and some fire in the performance. That shouldn't be too much to ask from seasoned rock music veterans. I know the world today is hurting for decent hard rock music, but this is unacceptable. Especially by any standard associated with Ronnie James Dio.
  7. No, things don't happen everywhere like they happen in the cultural bubble of Los Angeles. There wasn't a KNAC or KROC in every town in the 70's, 80's or even 90's. There isn't a Hollywood sign, Hollywood Walk of Fame,or In 'n Out Burger in every town either. I've lived in 7 states and 11 some towns/cities, including LA, and don't remember ever hearing ALS outside of Get The Led Out. It's a deep cut.
