  1. Learning the finger picking intro to STH that’s what!!! I am most definitely the best guitarist in my house✌️
  2. Perhaps a trip to London might cheer you up mate?
  3. Can’t argue with that. I was born late in 74. The 80’s were shocking for hard rockers. Then....Looking back I can see how and why I got into Guns n Roses so much
  4. The songs were great live, but on the official release I just couldn’t get into them. The production was terrible
  5. Hi @Strider - didn’t realise Jarvis cocker was touring. Very entertaining dude. Hope he comes to Australia. Anyway, you may be aware, he used to be in a band called Pulp. They were brilliant. Big regret of mine that I never saw them in the 90’s. I have some of their stuff including boots. If you want any let me know. I suspect that you’d like a similar band from that era - The Verve. They’re a bit heavier though. I never saw them either. At that age I guess I must have been too busy chasing girls and focusing on my accounting exams (face palm).....a profession I turned my back on over two years ago. Next concert I am going to is ‘No Quarter - The Led Zeppelin Experience’ Have a good weekend. Neil
  6. New live album? Couldn’t give a toss. I’m 44 and I discovered Led Zeppelin bootlegs three years ago. I love em and I’m having a whale of a time listening to them all. I feel lucky to have discovered them and grateful that they are out there. Far better than any official release
  7. Hey bud, I am obsessed with this show - I love it. I was completely unaware of the Wendy release. The two sources that you refer to - are they complete? I’d love to hear them if you (or anyone) has a link. Also were these sources included in the monster EV release? Cheers
  8. yeah i feel sorry for you Strider.....those terrible nights that you must have spent at the LA Forum
  9. The way I’ve always viewed it is that given the soundboards are so bad for 77, we’re bloody lucky to have the Millard recordings. There are many people that hanker for the LA soundboards to be released so we can have matrix tapes. But for the life of me, I can’t see that they would add anything to already terrific recordings
  10. This is a good source as well https://zoso.me/2017/08/16/1977-sources/ I have to say, your original assessment is the same as mine. I've listened to all of the 77 boards out there and i just can't stand'em. Winston and others have done a really good job getting the best out of them....but i still prefer the audience recordings. My 77 listening is generally restricted to the LA dates (check out the 'Mike the Mike' Winston remasters for the 21, 23, 25 and 27th of June)....although a lot of people also like the audience recording from New York (11th June 77) and Cleveland (28/4/77). Cheers
  11. I was listening to this on my bike with headphones on....so I assume that this is why we have the drums in the left channel? So it’s definitely not a multitrack? I’ve got the Dadgad remaster for this. He’s done a good job but it’s still a bit tinny. Any views on the definitive for this? I reckon it’s this that will get released...but I can’t see Page releasing As Long As I Have You. Wasn’t the performance recorded by the BBC in 71 two track?
  12. The comments that you make on this forum say far more about you than the good people you take aim at.....sorry man
  13. From a sound quality perspective, which are the best 73 continental soundboards? And while we’re at it, which particular boot is the definitive version? Cheers
  14. Been there. Great pub. However, at the time I was completely unaware of the historical significance. I went for a few pints before some cup final or other at Wembley.
  15. Terrific album. I was 13 when it came out. Played it to death. I think it was 1993 they played in manchester. It was initially mid week but postponed to a Sunday. They were shite. On stage three hours late and a 1hr 20 min set. I was well pissed off. Support acts were good though. Soundgarden and Faith No More
  16. Yep I was thinking Christmas myself. But you would imagine a lead time of 2-3 months before for the announcement....to whet the appetite. So I reckon that will come around September
  17. Do we have any sort of indication as to when an announcement will be made on what we can expect to be released for the anniversary?
  18. Ten Years Gone Tangerine That’s the Way In the Light Kashmir Dazed and Confused How Many More Times Stairway to Heaven No Quarter When the Levee Breaks
  19. I have to say that it is quite tiresome. Have to question the motivation - somebody way back suggested that Gibson’s review of Seattle 75 was flawed. And now we get this. Just enjoy the music!
