  1. I don't follow the Dolphins, but if this is true about Flores and Herbert, it makes me wonder if he should have been the one fired. Was he a lousy coach or was he given a lousy team with a lousy Tua? When I see stories about draft disasters like this I wonder when are the people actually making bad draft decisions ever fired?
  2. You have to love Jones' dry humor. I had heard the quote before about the new Yamaha Synth "toy" and how he just had to play with his new "toy", but later in the quote here he goes on to say that he sold it to Keith Emerson and replaced it with a sofa. Vintage Jones.
  3. Spelling Bee, rules of grammar and spelling, and best of all, the science project.
  4. I have tried this out, including the PG tracks, with varying degrees of success. One playlist I made for Houses of the Holy worked well, mainly because it showed (to my ears anyway) how well "Houses of the Holy" the song fits on House of the Holy the album, in terms of mood, sound, etc. I slotted in The Rover after Over the Hills Houses of the Holy to kick off Side 2 before Dancing Days Black Country Woman after Dancing Days, or maybe now that I think about it some more, maybe put Black Country Woman between Houses of the Holy and Dancing Days to break them up with an acoustic number. Walter's Walk after NQ and before The Ocean, although the 1982 vocal in this track never really worked for me, and that becomes more apparent when listening to it in the context of the 1972 vocals on Houses.
  5. The Hall of Fame is going downhill fast. They voted in Ortiz, who used steroids and rarely played the field. What a joke. I can recall all the stupidity in the sports press when they all finally had to admit that Ortiz used steroids. They all said something like "it won't matter because he is a nice guy and people like him"? Well he was a one dimensional player who used steroids.
  6. There is something to be said about the early raw stripped down versions like Danish TV and Supershow. So visceral and immediate.
  7. Unreal. And you gotta love that first audience member comment "Oh wow, look at those pants!" What a fantastic effort you have all undertaken to unearth this gem and bring it to us. Thank you.
  8. I was just listening to Toronto 1971 again and that version of Celebration Day may very well be the one. The energy level is off the charts. Check out Plant's spiel after the song too. The quality of this soundboard is amazing. Strong bass and drums, which for me are essential. Orlando 71 sound is great but this fragment is better for sound quality.
  9. Low - probably my favorite Bowie album. When I first heard it I thought how can this be the guy who made Ziggy Stardust, Young Americans, and Fame etc? The band he assembled for Low was so amazing.
