  1. I agree! I heard this morning that in Miami, the police were (on Wednesday) doing "routine" riot practice. Interesting that it was just days before a verdict is expected and Miami being TM's hometown. I know that police have been going around Sanford and Miami speaking to people about being calm and peaceful no matter the outcome. As TypeO said earlier, it'll be people from outside that will probably create problems more so than people who actually live there.
  2. Thanks for that PP. I thought I had read here on the forum the Robert and Buddy had recorded some original material. Appreciate you getting that article posted so quickly!
  3. You keep bringing it up, Paul, when is it the right time to discuss Pud's decision to make the All-Star game the deciding factor for home field advantage in the WS? For the record, I also believe it's one of the worst decisions ever made in MLB. Why not take the cumulative records of the AL & NL in preseason to decide it? That's basically why he did it - to make a game which has no bearing on the season, actually have major implications on the championship.
  4. Obvious sarcasm seems to go over his head, this is just another example, LLH. Back atcha sista!
  5. I have. You should as well. Recording additional concerts in 1975 and adding them to a concert film that had already been filmed with live performances at MSG with additional filming at a recreated stage set at Shepperton Studios, along with fantasy sequences are two entirely different events. It never says '75 tour performances were gonna be included on TSRTS. Doesn't even imply it.
  6. Jeter is being called-up from AAA today to rejoin the team. Good for the clubhouse. I can't believe the Yanks are anywhere near playoff contention with all the injuries and age.
  7. Reading that passage, I don't see where it says they were gonna film additional shows to be included on TSRTS as you had said earlier and Dave was questioning.
  8. Absolutely! That picture really portrays the band perfectly from that evening! I really loved in the early portion of that song when Robert and Jimmy were close to each other playing off on another with that blue lights streaming down on them! Great work, as always, Mark!
  9. The defense rested today, closing arguments tomorrow and the jury should have the case on Friday. It'll be interesting to see how long they deliberate. Strange moment today when the judge asked Zimmerman if he wanted to take the stand. He looked like he wanted to say "yes", but Don West kept objecting to the question - even though it is proper procedure for her to ask him. Later when asked again, he said he would not take the stand. Boy they have worked hard to paint him as a non-athletic, non-confrontational, big pussy, wimp. I think that is why he wanted to get up on the stand. To save his ass, the defense has really made him look like a complete wuss. I think that goes right along with why he's in this predicament in the first place - he thinks he knows better than anyone who instructs him to do otherwise.
  10. I believe Robert referred to Raising Sand as capturing lightening in a bottle. A moment in time that worked out just right. They went back to do it again, with other songs, and it just didn't feel right to them. So he went and did Band of Joy and she went back to her band and career.
  11. ^ Exactly DD. I remember the morning after the shooting, the story was being swept under the rug as an apparent drug deal gone wrong on some back ally. It took at least 2 weeks before the story even gained much attention, kinda like why is this story coming back up again. That's what infuriated the African-American community of Sanford, that the Martin family had to fight through shotty work with the Sanford PD and the fact that Zimmerman hadn't even been looked at as a criminal in any way until at least 3 weeks later, after shooting an unarmed minor. Of course we now have seen and heard just how pathetic the Sanford PD and city government were during the whole investigation, how they handled the evidence, etc. Sanford has a very bad history, both recent and past, and this shooting/trial doesn't seem to be doing much to help that. Defense is expected to rest today, tomorrow at the latest. I don't know why the judge would even entertain an animated video to be present as evidence on behalf of the defense. Pretty heated exchange late last night between the judge and defense.
  12. 15 hour work day - you poor thing! I hope you don't have many of those this week! Good song selection, as always, Debs!

  14. I don't see any "go to" guys on that Rocket roster. Howard isn't clutch at all, they can't give him the ball during the last quarter of the game. His offensive game isn't all that and when he goes to the line, well we have all seen that mess already. Harden has proven he can't handle the pressure and Jeremy doesn't have the consistency at all. They will struggle in a half-court playoff series, which is what it all comes down to in the end. "Super Pussy" is what Dwight's moniker should be.
  15. Love Rob Zombie! What a talent he is. Good interview too! Thanks for the heads up!
  16. NASCAR Nationwide race from Daytona on espn. On a red flag with 5 to go. The finish will be epic, if anyone turns to it in the next 15 minutes when they go green for the finish!
  17. State rests today. Defense asked for an acquittal, but were denied. I heard that the jury could still find him guilty of manslaughter, if they choose. I wasn't aware of that until today. We shall see...
