  1. I can't drink vodka straight. I don't know why, just don't enjoy it that way. I have that Honey JD in my fridge. Don't touch it very often, but have a shot every now and then! I was into Kraken shots with Coke chasers, but the sugar level wasn't worth it anymore. Grey Goose and cranberry is a great drink during these 100 degree days in central Florida. Very refreshing. In the winter, Dewars and water is nice! Don't you drink Genesee beer? We used to have a few of those while up north, kinda nostalgic. Man when I was a teen growing up there, we used to get a Matts "beer ball" for parties. Next day, the "Matts splats"....those were the days!
  2. Nice to see you back DK! I have also been thinking this through. For me, TSRTS from 6/21/77 will always remain my favorite song moment. Between the insane level of energy on the part of the band and pandemania in the audience, I always thought it was a singular high point in their career. I don't really care if a soundboard ever surfaces for this show, because it will take away the dimension of the manner in which the crowd received them the beginning of that epic run of shows! What a vibe and performance!
  3. Fantastic! Ann Wilson sounded incredible and Nancy was HOT - she looks and plays amazing for a lady who has been out on tour for 40 years! Lots of energy on a very warm evening. They opened with "Barracuda", played all the hits (except "If Looks Could Kill") and then did a 6 Zep song set with Jason and his guitarist. "Battle.." with Ann and Nancy by themselves was the best! They also did TSRTS/TRS, The Ocean, Kashmir and finished with Stairway accompanied with a choir. I hadn't had the chance to see them before for various reasons, but if you or anyone else has a chance to catch this tour, you should. Show began shortly after 7:30 and ended right at 11. Short break between JBLZE/Heart, otherwise constant kick-ass music!
  4. Lucky! Have a great time you two! Unfortunately he isn't coming down here.
  5. Have a great time! Eddie was AMAZING when I saw them last year - definitely back in top form.
  6. Yeah, there seems to be an abundance of douchebags around lately with nothing but hateful posts to spread around.... I find the way the "opening bands" were brought on that evening to be very interesting. Seems that if a certain act wasn't your cup of tea, you didn't have to wait for too long for another to come on. Too bad none them were documented on the DVD in another section, to represent the event as a whole. Of course we all know who everyone came for, but the event was for Ahmet and the performers obviously had a stake in it too.
  7. Yes, Nancy sang an Elton John song to her last night in Tampa for her birthday. Good call, Kev. Happy Birthday Ann!
  8. Nice set list! Did you attend the show Steve?
  9. Have a great time Deb! We had a GREAT show last night in Tampa! JBLZE set list was: Immigrant Song Ramble On Babe I'm Gonna Leave You The Lemon Song Houses Of The Holy Nobodys Fault But Mine When The Levee Breaks Whole Lotta Love Heart w/ Jason: The Battle Of Evermore (Ann and Nancy only) The Song Remains The Same The Rain Song The Ocean Kashmir Stairway To Heaven I had never seen Heart before, always missed them for one reason or another - they were fantastic! Ann Wilson has one of the best live voices ever and Nancy has such stage presence, is obviously having a great time performing and isn't too hard on the eyes! You're in for a great night!!!
  10. Off the top of my head I agreed with that, always have loved that solo. But after recently hearing "Heaven Knows" again for the first time in a long time, I would have to say I really love the emotion in that solo. "Sea Of Love" solo is also a favorite, because of its simplicity and Hawaiian feel to it.
  11. Facebook.....never had it, never will! My wife has been doing some marriage counseling for a few years and says it is one of the biggest causes of divorce currently she sees. Everyone is trying to relive their past glories, or what they perceived them to be! Planted, your take on it seems to be spot on.
  12. For tonight's Heart/JBLZE show, the tickets were $50 a piece....with $20 extra in fees per ticket - and that's with picking them up at will call.
  13. Just finished watching a rerun of "Big Bang Theory"... Now watching game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals.
  14. ...with grain alcohol, sure it does!
  15. ^^ Taylor Swift, you MUST be kidding....every award show I have heard her sing on, she sings out of tune BIG TIME! Melissa Etheridge was one of the best I have ever heard live, in terms of rock singers.
  16. We all know the score here already....it would be nice if you and some others would refrain from derailing this thread any further with your "look at me" responses. Thank you Cookie for starting this thread, even with the difficult first couple of pages. I think it is a brilliant idea to put all of these public sightings in one thread, keeps things together so we can look back more in a chronological sense - instead of having all of these separate threads.
  17. Tonight at 6:00 Sirius channel 38, "Black Sabbath Town Hall".
  18. Absolutely, moderation is key and something many can't seem to figure out. Can't remember the last time I had a hangover.
  19. Wine: merlot Beer: yingling, corona, bud light Spirits: current summer drink is grey goose and cranberry w/lime

With the former rules in place, you may have been out with McDowell not making the cut....great picks nonetheless. How are your girls doing, btw?
  21. Agreed, Strider....and they did it! Still not convinced they will go back to Miami and win one more though. So, what's up with this whole Boston/Clippers/Lakers trade talk involving Doc Rivers, Blake Griffin, Dwight "Big Pussy" Howard, etc. Strider?
