  1. That is an interesting question. I wonder if they did a true Moby Dick and then used the OOTT intro for Black Dog. As Nutrocker says, I hope we get the answers from the missing shows of '77. I would also like for the St. Paul show performance level to be solved once and for all also....
  2. I might be going out on a limb here but America has always been the land of "bigger and better" attitude. We're guilty of excess. So, when Zep came over they typically followed suit. Longer shows, longer solos, more drugs, more women, etc. I think it was more of a mind set while in America than anything. Just my opinion.
  3. All American Man - KISS
  4. Hey there Strider - glad to see you back on here! I saw some photos from Hong Kong, but I don't see them around anymore. The stage set looked pretty incredible though. I grew up with Madonna doing her thing at her height, but never really got into her music or performances. I really don't like "pop music" for the most part. But, something about Gaga's music/message speaks to me. I love how unpredictable her performances are and really love when she sits down at the piano and belts out her music. Plus she is wise beyond her years and still grounded, big time, for one of the biggest stars on the planet. If I come across more pictures, I'll put them up. Peace.
  5. Aren't the Pacers playing the Heat in the next round? Looks like Heat/Spurs Final, to me.
  6. ^ That is from last night's show in Tokyo...the crowd looks awesome, as well as the "Monster Pit"/cat walk area! Did you catch her on the MB Tour, Juliet? We saw her down here in April '11 - what an amazing performer/musician!
  7. Yeah that seems like a non-opinionated, factual statement......
  8. That is a great honour to the greatest manager of all-time! Was he still using cocaine at the time of his heart attack death in '95? Or was that just making reference to his use back in the 70's/80's?
  9. Sorry to hear about that - KB's right, he'll kick it - plus he's young enough to not scratch and spread them too much! Hope he heals soon!
  10. My original tape I got from ZOSO magazine in the 80"s fades out and back in missing about a half minute. But the discs I picked up a couple of years ago fills in approx. 10-15 missing seconds with another source to make it complete.
  11. Are You Experienced? - Jimi
  12. The Kids Are Alright - The Who
  13. I thought the soundcheck version was the better version of the two. Listening to that version reminded me of the original Zeppelin more than anything I've heard by them since Bonzo passed. The show was a great Swan Song, that's for sure!
  14. Which guitar(s) did Jimmy use on the studio version. Obviously they were overlaid, but was the B-Bender used?
  15. Yep, they cut off their nose to spite their face! How many children will go without health care now in NC? That's really family orientated now isn't it.....very sad day for all involved.
  16. Obviously it can't be June 25, 1975 - that would be after Earl's Court - why would they be there and no tour planned at that point. Robert's accident happened that summer.
  17. I have. Enjoyed it, very factual, lots of pictures and information about the shows/venues played. That tour seems like it was always shrouded in secrecy so I found the book to uncover many things that I didn't already know.
  18. Thanks! Sucks that they try to package a show that is already out with a new one, just to jump the price higher. Anyway, can't wait to hear reviews about how it comes across in SB form!
  19. On to Tokyo..... Saw some pictures from the set and it looks AMAZING! Lots of newer songs on the setlist too! Are you going to see her Juliet? Peace.
