  1. My thoughts are with you and your family, very exciting!!!
  2. Queen didn't tour much in America during the 80's either. I think that, along with a changing musical landscape, took away from their popularity here in the states. I still believe they were always highly respected here though, IMO.
  3. Silver, you're missing my point. I wondered why he was a Raider fan in the first place, not questioning why still or loyalty - that I get. I'm the same way, very loyal to my teams. I see that you're an O's fan and I understand why - their AAA team is in your city. I agree with you about Philly fan, they're animals and have a long history of proving that!
  4. Ooops, wrong post - sorry!
  5. Plus, how long has Al owned/controlled the Raiders? A VERY long time!
  6. Yeah, I know. But a guy from LA, and loving pretty much everything LA as much as Strider has written about, having a favorite team from Oakland (and yes i know they played in LA for a decade or so) is interesting and worthy of simply asking why? Most who live in, or were born in, New England are fans of the various Boston teams - as you are. I don't know where you live or were born, but I would venture to guess that it is from that region of the country. Anyway, back to football...
  7. On second thought - DON'T! That guy's fuckin' crazy! Strider, how can you be a Raider fan? I know they were in LA for a little while, but the Rams have a much deeper history. Lots of playoff appearences in the 70's and 80's. Most people have an interesting story as to whom their favorite team is and why. I'm sure you do too.
  8. Man, you're so wound up that you are quoting yourself! You're correct about the "Hoodie" getting you guys a ton of draft picks every year. It'll be interesting to see how much patience Brady has with 85, Chad definitely goes by the beat of his own drum and Tom don't roll that way. Look how long he kept Moss down, until he imploded again! Edit: I see your edit got up before my post, so you must have come down a couple of notches!
  9. "Breaker, breaker, 1-9, this is the Rubber Duck...". What a GREAT movie that was. We used to have CB radios in our cars AND in our house - with a big ass 20 foot antenna in our backyard! How 'neck is that? This was in upstate NY, not south of the Mason-Dixon line either!
  10. You gotta love training camp. Everyone has dreams about the upcoming season and most moves seem like positive ones. Then reality smacks you in the face like a Ray Lewis blitz! Jimmy, where is your low risk/high reward Haynesworth? Not in camp on the practice field, AGAIN! It should at least be a very interesting season for you, if nothing else. Vince Young is already tweeting that the Eagles are a "dream team"! Easy now, LeBron!
  11. If the thread is not locked, it's still active. I know of 2 active threads on this same subject in the Led Zep Live section of the forum.

    The X Games

Pastrana was supposed to make his NASCAR debut tonight @ Indianapolis Raceway Park, but fractured his foot/ankle on Thursday. I guess he is not very serious about racing at that level, if he was going to do X games on the same weekend. I heard he still may attempt to compete in the X games on Sunday, even with the damaged stick.
  13. Just had a shot for ya, on me! Peace and rock on!
  14. Hey there Zep brother! Thanks for bringing so much technical info to the forum and, of course, the Bath video segment.

    Peace.

  15. ^ Have a GREAT time tomorrow night - they are always great, especially when you have a group of family or friends to sing and dance with! Happy today because after a looong week with patches on my back, I have found out that I'm not extremely allergic to anything serious. Also, we received the wallpaper to redo my son's room with an underwater sharks theme that he has wanted. On an unhappy moment, we had to take down the jungle theme we have had up since he was a toddler. My 7 year-old boy is growing up!
  16. Yeah you picked up those two. Big names, but I'm not sold that they will fit in with the "Hoodies" system. He runs a 3-4, right? Albert refused to play that in DC. "85", is in a whole world to, and about, himself. They might prove me wrong, but the best indicator of future behavior is past behavior - and there history is of non-conformity. That doesn't sit well with your coach.
  17. ^ Did you read that or smell it? I know, i'm asking for it ......
  18. She is just too adorable!! Her enthusiasm for Robert is so genuine! Not to be too morbid, but she looks a lot like little Caylee Anthony. Thanks Deb!
  19. This "free agent frenzy" is INSANE! Who is going to get Asomugha? I'm now hearing the Philadelphia Eagles - yuck!! All sorts of craziness taking place - what will happen next?? Yes Silver, etc. your Bills will STILL suck again this year!!
  20. It's great to be an American!
  21. Happy Birthday, bud! Hope you have a great one!!

  22. Unfortunately all 3 have been killed by radio for me. I do love WGFA, from The Kids Are Alright video. I will sometimes listen to Stairway during a bootleg concert, but BR was killed by "Wayne's World" forever for me!
