Had a great "meet your teacher" night tonight - except for one emotionally disturbed parent who started some sh!t. It's that time of the year again, to recreate magic in these kids - with next to no support from the county/state of FL.

Before we had our son, we had 3 cats. They are so cool..... Had many dogs before, but cats are such individuals! I do feel for you.

My 7 year old son was tested for gifted and qualified with high numbers. Not I am a huge fan of giving kids "labels", but it opens doors to programs for him to enhance his education, entering 2nd grade. Plus, NASCAR is racing @ Watkins Glen this weekend - legendary track, great racing!

The face gives it away for me. There was a marked change to his facial features from '77 on. That along with SAJ's summer fashion note seals it for me - '79. And yes, I know why his face changed during that long layoff in '76. No need to go there.....

Most people don't seem to care about the preseason, but I love to see who will comprise the lower half of the depth chart. Plus the competition just to make the roster is intense. That ultimately is where a team becomes a champion contender. Look at the Pack last year, if they weren't that deep with talent, those injuries would've taken them out even before the playoffs!

RIP Jani Lane! He used to have a great club here in the downtown bar district. It was a fun place with good live music to check out - called Jani Lane's Sunset Strip.
