Sad news. He along with Palmer were one of the toughest one, two pitching punches in baseball back in the late 70's and early 80's. RIP and condolences to his family.

I know he was, when isn't he for the most part? There is a time for that, but not when millions are worried for their lives and property though.

We should probably start a thread for this, but make sure you are prepared for a couple of weeks without power (also clean water). Propane tanks for the grill should be filled, gas in the car, cash on hand, paper plates and plastic utensils, of course batteries for radios, canned foods, bottled water are all a must. You can also fill up the bathtubs for clean water. It may not be that bad, but people were caught off guard down here before and some were without power for a couple of weeks. So, prepare for the worst and hope for the best is the way to go! Good luck brotha! Edit: make sure you have a regular can opener, and not electric, too!

That's great! Yes, the working people of this country are all under attack, so the rich can get richer and not provide anything for their employees. I know history is not that important, as evidence by not being on these pointless unqualified state tests that are given annually, and rewriting it is a popular thing to do, currently - but for god's sake look what happened to the working force before unions were around and all these businesses were unregulated. It really is unbelievable how quickly things are going backwards in this country. And many people are shooting themselves in the foot by electing these people who are pro-business, at all costs! Balance people, balance!

Yeah, I saw that video also. That's why I didn't want to put the blame on them fully. Every team has a-hole fans and some are just horrible people as evidence of the shooting and what happened in the Dodgers parking lot earlier this year. See if we had just had those mini camps, the fans would better prepared for the preseason!

Some need to get a grip around here, it's just music folks! I'm still amazed the Yanks have gotten what they have out of that rotation. I figured they would make a run at the wild card slot, be not seriously challenge the Sox for the AL East! Burnett cannot be trusted as a starter in the playoffs. I they do as you said and put him in the pen. The playoffs should be very interesting in the AL this year. BTW, Roger Maris for the Hall Of Fame! Now more then ever his doing it the right way should be celebrated, in the face of keeping these "'Roid Heads" out of the hall, IMO.
