  1. I read that the tape they used to record the first disc could not be completely erased, so some things bled through. You can hear background noise during other songs from Led Zep I as well.
  2. No Speak, No Slave - Black Crows
  3. Real Men Don't Kill Coyotes - Red Hot Chili Peppers
  4. More Than A Feeling - Boston
  5. Very interesting indeed! Thanks for sharing, looking forward to more!!
  6. I only have an audience version of the show (Persistence) and I thought it was powerful and they seemed to be having a great time. Especially during the encores, didn't they have some water fight with Bill Graham? Better than what happened just 4 years later...... I love the version of The Ocean and what was up with that loud noise at the end of The Rain Song?! Does it come out in the sb version?
  7. I was enjoying it, just was able to use those "options" for the first time! It seems obvious that the longest Stairway was not the best Stairway! I preferred the 75 or 71 (before the song was released) versions most.
  8. We Are Family - Sister Sledge
  9. Thanks for the links. I fell into the sexist pig mode with you - very nice indeed! I have read some good stuff about her playing from some people who saw them in Australia recently on another site. Said Beck was amazing and that she was right there with him!
  10. Did Bonzo collapse at the San Diego 77 gig? If he did, then what a fast recovery - 2 nights later (6/21/77) may have been his best performance ever!
  11. Thanks everyone for the info. I just received a copy with the d.j. chatter and it is great to know there is a "cleaner" version of this show out there. I love the GTBT/C.Breakdown opener, HMMTimes closer and, of course, the fantastice version of Heartbreaker. Could do without the Frenchie though!
  12. Let's see.....today it is supposed to be 84 degrees and sunny. Ahhh, it sucks to be here!!
  13. DON'T You Want Me - Human League
  14. Both stories were tremendous. Love how gracious to their fans both Jimmy and Robert were. Thanks a lot for sharing!!
  15. Oh, back to the thread..... The crazy thing about Seattle is the one bad gig they did ('77) is the easiest to get! Behind LA and NYC, Seattle must have been the next best place to see the mighty Zep!
  16. Wasn't Chi-town also one of the first dates of the proposed '80 fall tour and the tickets had to be refunded? Hmmmm....maybe you ARE onto something here!!
  17. What You Want - John Butler Trio

    RAISING SAND 2

Yes, conflict does seem to reign around here - unlike the Krauss/Plant collaboration. See, keeping on topic!! I do agree with the earlier statement that the next AK/RP disc should show natural growth. They and the band have a tour under their belts, not to mention Robert's knack for keeping things changing. It would be great to see at least one original song, written by them, on it.

    RAISING SAND 2

^Very funny indeed! How about the Immigrant Song with a yodel - that would be something!!

    RAISING SAND 2

^It is fun stuff, in small amounts IMO, as was said earlier. As for Raising Sand 2, it would be cool to hear a bit more AK being herself, musically speaking, than on the first disc. Their voices do mesh so well together the way T-Bone produced it.
