  1. ....Yes, ALL 4 at once, I am serious. :D .......
  2. ........Aqua, I have yet to come across a book/articles that identifies name for the fans - they are mostly refer to as young fans. Do you think it is a good idea to conduct a poll and see what fans think in different countries of the two names mentioned with "others" category. Can you think of any readings that might have referred to Zep/Led Heads...? tks..
  3. .......Very Interesting conversation ladies, good question, good answer....... :D
  4. tks spacewoman...It's that classic green shirt. I hope there are more in GREEN COLOR.......
  5. ...that is the best one, I think this is already "chosen" and done with....... In spirit of Zeppelin's creative music....... Zepsy's I also heard Leddies, ........ A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Kashmiri rose saplings, known for their fragrance
  6. Yes they do. As the 70's crash landed into 80's, suddenly the depth/inner knowledge to truly understand what music is was replaced by modern technology. Yes it was a challenge for the artists to seek true inspiration, but it was NOT impossible. I think the record companies have lot to do with misuse of music in the 80's and 90's. Therefore, generations of the 80's and 90's have not been able to create environment for the present to create some timeless riffs, as did the Blues artists, world artists for Zeppelin/others of that time. Regardless of time, when artists cannot make strong connection/understand poetry/inner feelings of depth, what life is, they CANNOT come up with memorable riffs...this is true in past, present, and future.
  7. ...There is nothing in the mirror, your picture is in our eyes........
  8. ......It is true, more the world changes, more it stays the same......It is just that times were more simpler back than as age of technology did not complicate things. The problems were the same, but the ways to deal with them Politics, social, etc. humans had more opportunity to communicate fact to face, coming closer together (communities formed because they had no choice of modern conveniences but to depend on each other, that naturally added the Human touch missing today) It was certainly an interesting time in Western World both Happy and Painful...it was no different for the Eastern world. While the West was searching spirituality in India, in reality, the country was going through War with Pakistan in '65 (I was just 5 years old). The one I remember was '71 with my family and communities close by. I am very glad there was no Internet back then, for that matter anywhere. I cannot even begin to imagine the "Misuse" of this dangerous tool....I truly lived in the world of make-believe/fantasy Cinematic Vision which thrived on Romantic Kashmir (not the war-torn one that most people know). Sometimes I am glad that despite of the ugly times, we were only exposed to mostly "beauty". I take it as a blessing in disguise...for ugliness is here to stay. Do deal with ugliness, but through beauty, this one works for me Here are some "timeless" beautiful moments in Kashmir .......Peace
  9. .......Beautiful Pic, speaks volumes......there are many ways to feel the Presence of Jimmy........
  10. Rock: Grace Slick ( beautiful) Stevie Nicks (classy) Janis Joplin (charismatic) I also admire Wilson Sisters - Heart (Fun)
  11. Top of List In the Evening Honorable: Carouselambra All My Love ....Rest, I will simply listen to them.......
  12. Hi Fan S. No need to feel ignored...I am sure everybody would have been touched by your passionate story of friendship. I think people do read, but don't comment. I related to the experiences you mentioned in your post...truly, it is friendships like the ones you mentioned make this place, and everything else in life worth the day...Peace...

  13. ........and I think you can easily turn this thread into Rock and Roll Encyclopedia, so keep it coming as you remember........
  14. ....Led Zeppelin Concert or any other concert back then was an experience itself, but like you say, there was an"Experience" before The Experience. They both are equally important. I totally relate to your feelings. Mine had to be lack of determination (I had to Cross the Border with Foreign Passport) naturally outweighed against me being not quite 16 yet (I should have convinced my parents to take me and see what happened)...
  15. Aqua, I am glad Zep postponed, you written couple more Pages of history while waiting...How lucky you can get...I wish I was able to experience some of the 60's...a bit before my time and this part of the world...... (Life is what happens to you while making other plans) Now, as for you chicken pox, I got no soothing lotion, just a little more irritation, courtesy, Brand "Jealousy"........
  16. ......few words for beautiful visionary who breathes life into his Instrument of choice, Guitar, with emotions/poetry...what can be said about those beautiful visionary eyes that gave us a Greatest Gift from God LED ZEPPELIN....... Other than your eyes, what else is in this world... As they awake, the mornings rise..... As they bow, the nights arrive ......
  17. Fan S. thanks for being a heart-warming storyteller. Your story is of exceptional friendship experienced by very few, during difficult times and you have witnessed such intense moments in U.S. History, which I am sure puts things in perspective in current times......Peace
  18. ....and I think you have really said it most excellently. I also think parents can contribute great deal. I will also say this from my experience, my parents were not in a position to understand how culturally I was changing, but now as the world is changing more globally, there is opportunity to test/gain confidence........cheers
  19. ...Great, I am starting to read Danny Goldberg's new book Bumping Into Geniuses My Life inside the Rock and Roll Business, and my daughter also is learning classical guitar, she is trying, but hasn't yet mastered my fav. Stairway to Heaven.... ....Happy reading, I read Richard's books too, it is generally entertaining, but sensationalized IMO, but nevertheless, Richard is their Tour Manager, and had the opportunity to witness history firsthand, how Stairway to Heaven is "inaccurate" as discussed on this Board is probably true, but really beyond me........
  20. Hot Pic's of Jimmy Page...(no mystery) really, my fav, a thread with replies to the content of the post, vs. replies to the posters (ie. you happen to like them regardless of subject, Content should never be underestimated with preconceived notions, IMO, this negativity contributes to overall quality of Forum discussion....... :D In summary, best thread is the one that has contents defended to perfection, regardless of what the topic is and who is posting it :D
  21. all start, I listened to Presence, Read Classic Rock Magazine....... More to come...... Now, it's your turn..
  22. Jimmy's meeting with P. R. Shankar to understand/play "Raag" of various types, ie. The Morning Raags, Evening Raags (wordless emotions/feelings), are influential in his guitar playing. Raags promote emotions, necessary for poetry, within the artist. Since Raags are designed for various moods, happiness, sadness, Seasons, the artist naturally becomes familiar with emotions/poetry, which I think Jimmy Page has very, very exceptional capability of (short listed) ....rushing a bit here.....
  23. PlanetPage
