marlam
IMO best western of all time and most powerful scene of the movie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoMvIF_7Tfo Other Sergio Leone's movies have also many epic scenes, for example the final showdown in The Good, The Bad And The Ugly. MJC455
Film School Rejects jus t ran their own list recently, some posted were mentioned. Robet Shaw made their top list for monologue in Jaws, but I did not know he actually wrote the scence himself. http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/features/14-most-impressive-monologues-in-movie-history-dbell.php
The_Minxter
In the film "Let Him Have It", I think one of the scenes that chokes me is where Derek Bentley's mother visits him in prison the day before he's due to hang. He looks at his mother and tells her "I'm not afraid to die mum" and the look of sheer horror/terror etched on her face at the full realisation that her son has accepted his fate, but on the other hand he's not fully aware of what he really said due to the fact he is/was mentally disabled. A fabulous film brilliantly acted by Chris Eccleston, well worth seeing
Kiwi_Zep_Fan87
That scene from "The Sound of Music" when Captain Von Trapp begins to sing "Edelweiss" at the Salzberg festival, with his family joining him eventually. You can actually see the man holding back the tears while singing because he knows for a fact that due to the circumsrances of the war, he and his family will have to leave their life behind in Austria forever. http://www.ovguide.com/video/the-sound-of-music-edelweiss-in-concert-922ca39ce10036ba0e11de0541645819
