greenman
What is certain is that Obama does NOT hate the U.S. and he is not a Socialist/Communist/Muslim. To be honiest I'd preffer it if he were the former and wouldnt care any more if he were a moderate version of the latter than I do he's a moderate christian. From a european perspective thats really the insane thing about US politics to me, Obama is ultimately pretty far to the right by european standards offering some very mild moves towards socialism yet a significant section of the US population seem to believe he's one step removed from setting up gulags in Alaska. Top Notch
Bush, by attacking Iraq, caused thousands more people to sympathize with people fighting against coalition forces and therefore advanced the idea that Americans in that region were infidels You have a point. Just a few weeks ago the Taliban shot a little Pakistani girl in the head because she wanted to go to school. When Bush decided to inject our values into that region it only caused problems like this.
greenman
Honiestly I still believe Bush's great failing were not starting wars but waging them in an incompetant and self serving manner. Even without WMD's the case for removing someone as brutal as Sadam(who lets remember was partly a US made problem) rather than just straving out a whole nation could be made but really the case should have been about having a stabalising force to step in to prevent civil war. Bush utterly failed in that reguard with far too limated an occupation force with far too much money spent on his cronies private defence schemes. The same in Afganistan, Bush wanted and got a quick victory but did not look to do the real legwork which Obama again needed to take up but by maybe impossible. I believe now the only answer is really a spilt off of northern Pakistan and Southern Afganistan into "Pastunistan" too cut off the ethnic nationalism thats feeding the taliban. This is very true. Reagan, today, would be a moderate to almost liberal Democrat given his views. Deficit too high, raise taxes. Gay marriage? Reagan's view was "as long as you're not doing it in the middle of the street and scaring the horses, it's nobody's business.". Deal with your enemies? How else will you make any progress with them? As Newt Gingich said during the primaries: "If Ronald Reagan were running today, he would not win a single state primary". This says a lot about the current state of US politics. Also, to the best of my knowledge, the only time I have used the ignore function was due to unwanted PMs. I doubt I could get worked up enough about what someone else's opinion is to actually eliminate it from my view. I'm always interested - in one way or another - in what others think, and sometimes why.

Putting people on 'ignore' is a pu...I was gonna say a 'pussy move' but that's denigrating to our Led Zeppelin sisters. There's nothing wrong with pussy. So instead I will say unless it's used to ward off someone who is spamming or harassing you with PMs, people who use the 'ignore' button are dicks and cowards. One doesn't have to think he's one step from gulags to think Obamacare was an awful bill, imposed on people who opposed it, through purely partisan means. Or to think he has pitted Americans against Americans In a way no previous President has. Or to think he's overmatched in the job. One doesn't have to make him a characture to oppose him, there are plenty of legitimate reasons to oppose him. If Bush did what Obama is doing with Benghazi that fat bastard Michael Moore would have made a movie about it already.

That is my reasoning as well. I don't suffer fools gladly and idiots who like to argue and stir up crap because they are lonely old angry men/women. Not worth getting banned over dumbasses on here who think they are the Czar of certain threads etc. Telling people they can't post certain things in certain threads- I can post whatever I want and whenever-Freedom of Speech. One dickhead called me out for being slanderous but then they call me a masochist haha Dude you have never met me and know nothing about me so get Bent. Go attack somebody else who cares with your lil clique. I only know what you said by friends on here- you three are on permanent block so you are wasting your time. FWIW, Freedom of Speech doesn't apply to forums. The mods/admins ultimately decide, Bill of Rights be damned. YOU ultimately control whether YOU get banned, not some other member. My only point was I don't see letting other people's opinions/comments get under your skin enough to push you into saying something ban-worthy. As they say, "it's only the internet." I consider myself the Czar of Pompous and Excessively Verbose Responses, or CPAEVR. It's... what I do. Totally unrelated - Dude, what's with the bold italics? Wether to use the ignore function, wear your hair in a comb-over, become a member of the KISS Army, or join "show choir" to get out of P.E. class. After that all that remains is how others will judge you on your choices... and if you can live with that.
