Hand_Of_Omega_91
Cool. If Duff rejoins G n' R then that means Tommy Stinson can get back to making some music that's actually worthwhile again. On a somewhat related note, I recently read that Velvet Revolver are back together and are searching for a new singer (again). Personally I thought Chinese Democracy was worthwhile. I also highly doubt McKagan will rejoin GN'R full time especially as Velvet Revolver are indeed searching for a new singer.

Never been much of a G n' R fan, just my way of saying I prefer to hear Tommy's solo work and/or a possible revival of the Replacements with Paul Westerberg. Juliet
There may have been billboards on the Canadien side as well, I just happened to be passing through I-94 on the US side. Billboard did cause me to do a double take as for a split second I thought perhaps a Detroit date had been added to the itinerary, then realized it was promoting the upcoming Windsor gig. Detroit is of course the much bigger market and Billy Idol, the headliner, is more popular in the US which may explain why it was placed there. Hi Steve: Thanks for your reply...I like your way of spelling Canadian.."Canadien"...that's the French masculine spelling. One uses that French spelling when refering to a male Canadian...un homme canadien ...or anything that is considered of the male gender... un arbre canadien (a Canadian tree)..un biscuit canadien (a Canadian cookie) In any case....Billy is more popular in the US,eh? Well....I'll have you know he has many...many....many fans in the Great White North who love him dearly and want him to retire here....I mean tour here more....more...more!!!!! Do they recycle those billboards or cut them up or auction them off or give them to the artists, family members and/or fans..?? Juliet PS Axl Rose, Slash, Duff etc etc..get back together.....your fans love your music and miss you..... SteveAJones
Do they recycle those billboards or cut them up or auction them off or give them to the artists, family members and/or fans..?? The advertisements are pasted to the billboard in huge strips like wallpaper and eventually scrapped off or pasted over. I presume if someone wanted to keep one intact they'd have to purchase the entire billboard from the owner and have it trucked out of there and that's got to be cost-prohibitive. I should think it would be easier to contact whomever produced the advertisement and inquire on purchasing a full run of the enormous strips produced for billboards. However, the same advertisement can probably be obtained from a magazine.
Juliet
Billboard to Promote Billy Idol and Slash @ Caesars Casino in Windsor, Ontario on September 9, 2010 Located on Southbound I-94 (Detroit, Michigan). Photo Credit: Steve A. Jones. http://il.youtube.com/watch?v=kF6mRv4_RgM&feature=related Hi Steve: I agree...the same photo was probably in all promo material... The billboard material would certainly make interesting wall paper if it could be dismantled in one whole piece...it would be have to be for one very very big wall... Juliet PS Members of GNR...I'm slightly older than all of you..if you were my baby brothers I would say...GET BACK TOGETHER FOR A REUNION TOUR...I would speculate that it would be very very sucessful... kenog
Ax man ... Axl Rose and co played too longSuzan/PA 16 October 2010 YOU can't teach an old dog new tricks - or GUNS N' ROSES for that matter. The veteran rockers face a hefty fine after breaking two 11pm concert curfews. They are notorious for shocking timekeeping and, true to form, overran with both their shows at the O2 arena in London this week - by a total of three hours. LADY GAGA was the last star to break her 11pm curfew at the venue, by 25 mintues last February. She was in line for a £10,000 fine for the privilege - which worked out at £400 a minute. By that calculation, Guns N' Roses could now be hit for £72,000. An O2 spokesman confirmed that the promoters would incur a cost for the late finishes. The venue was also forced to put on extra transport for fans after 20,000 concert-goers missed the last Tube home. But it was a small price to pay for the surprise appearance onstage of original band member DUFF McKAGAN. The bass guitarist joined frontman AXL ROSE for four hits, fuelling rumours of a reunion between the band that made debut album Appetite For Destruction. An all-star line-up might be sooner than we think - Axl will need the extra cash if he continues to play past his bedtime. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/3182753/Overruns-and-Roses-fined.html#ixzz12YDdeIiO

No shit! that's going to be one frigging awesome show. i saw them both this year separately. together has got to be sick. Halford warmed up Ozzy. but slash is a thousand times better imo. What will be interesting is that the warmup band will have the better lead. that's not often the case. Over four hours of killer classic rock and roll. enjoy! Hopefully they'll do one on the east coast.

What an freaking outstanding combination. Sooo many great songs in one night. I just wish it was closer to home. Doubt I'll get to see any of these shows. I guess bad timing on this one. Hotplant
He will be here at The Depot w/Myles on Jan 29th. As usual SLC doesn't appear on itinerary Only 30.00 now there's a concert bargain. Should I go? hmmmmm I heard he'll be at Sundance as well, playing in some Park City "Hard Rock" deal.
Walter
I excluded that one because it's Ozzy only - Slash will not be performing. With all due respect SAJ, the show is being advertised as Slash opening for Ozzy on Friday, Feb. 18 in Tampa. That is why I was heavily considering attending the show - we've seen Slash 7 times and he is always fantastic. If he is not performing, Ticketmaster needs to not take advantage of his fans with false advertising.
