Good point...I could list ten different Top 10s lickety-split, depending on my mood.

By the way, ebk, I am shocked that "West Side Story" wasn't on your list.

I love West Side Story, but I'd put Chicago, A Chorus Line or Cabaret in before that.  Lately, though, I can't get enough of Ain't Misbehavin'.

Cabaret and A Chorus Line I get...but Chicago over West-Side? Wow! Wait until I tell George Chakiris!

This was very difficult.  I started with a list of about 50, and that was leaving out jazz and classical.

In roughly chronological order

Beatles Revolver
Fairport Convention Lief and Liege
Creedence Clearwater Revival Cosmo's Factory
Yes Fragile
Pink Floyd Meddle
Santana III
Deep Purple Machine Head
Allman Brothers Band Brothers and Sisters
Jethro Tull Minstrel in the Gallery
Aerosmith Rocks

If I could add one more, and it almost made the final top 10, it would be Renaissance Live at Carnegie Hall.

Great thread 👍  I like the SAHB also very much, some of the finest rock guitar music, IMHO

10 of my favorite albums:

Rolling Stones: Sticky Fingers
Beatles: 1967-1970 (Blue Album)
Supertramp: Crime of the Century
Supertramp: Breakfast in America
Amy Winehouse: The Day she came to Dingle (It's not an album, but I love this concert so very much)
Marianne Faithfull: 20th Century Blues
Al Stewart: Year of the cat
Manu Chao: Clandestino
B-52s: B-52s
Genesis: A Trick of the Tail

SAHB were such a great band, but tend to be overlooked for some reason. Such a wide variety of song styles and no pandering to popularity.

In no particular order, these are probably the 10 I visit the most year in and year out:

Heart of Saturday Night - Tom Waits

Lick My Decals Off, Baby - Captain Beefheart

Survival - Bob Marley

Your Future, Our Clutter - The Fall

Teenager of the Year - Frank Black

Swing Easy - Frank Sinatra

McCartney - first album

Red Rose Speedway (2018 double disc version) - Paul McCartney

Mirror Man Sessions - Captain Beefheart (only because I can't imagine my life without these versions of "Kandy Korn" and "Moody Liz")

Village Green Preservation Society - The Kinks

Posted
  1. The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
  2. In the Wee Small Hours - Frank Sinatra
  3. Kind of Blue - Miles Davis
  4. Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dylan
  5. The Joshua Tree - U2
  6. A Love Supreme - John Coltrane
  7. Paul's Boutique - Beastie Boys
  8. Sea Change - Beck
  9. Stripped - Christina Aguilera (Yes, you read this correctly. It's a damn good album.)
  10. A Hard Day's Night - The Beatles

I almost put "1" by The Beatles at #10, as it's all their US and UK #1 singles, but I thought a compilation might be cheating.
