Mattmc1973
On rottentomatoes.com, the site that compiles all reviews across the country for a movie and assigns it a score, "Get Smart" has 50% positive reviews, and "Love Guru" has a dismal 15%. spats
I think they will both be turkeys. Steve Carell isn't funny and the trailers for The love guru are not funny. And the scenes in trailers are usually the best parts.lol
The Rover
I don't expect Get Smart to be any morr memorable than the Steve Martin redux of The Pink Panther. I though that Steve Carell's appearnace on SNL was dismal. Live routines are not his strong suit.
jimmie ray
Well, the original Get Smart had a "Groovy Guru" as one of the characters - so the remake could kill two birds with one stone. But look at the lame supporting cast in both movies - maybe no real comedians would take on the script?
kirchzep27
will wait for them to played on tv.
Strider
Neither are good...I guess "Get Smart" wins by default, only because it sucks the least of the two. But rather than waste your money on either, go see Guy Maddin's "My Winnepeg"...Guy Maddin is so out there, he makes David Lynch look like Chris Columbus. Or, if you still haven't seen it, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "In Bruges" are two worthy choices.

Roxie
I love Mike Myers, and I haven't seen 'Love Guru', but it just doesn't look like a funny movie to me. Where is Austin Powers when you need him??

Del Zeppnile
Gay Village thing? It's because the hockey team in the movie are the Maple leafs. What's the differnce? Everybody knows the real hockey players all play in the United States.
Fresh Garbage
Well, the original Get Smart had a "Groovy Guru" as one of the characters - so the remake could kill two birds with one stone. But look at the lame supporting cast in both movies - maybe no real comedians would take on the script? I can't think of two better people to play Maxwell Smart and Agent 99.....
