BlackDog71
When I first heard "Carouselambra" I didn't like it much if AT ALL. Since that time, i have found the song to be different and actually very pleasing to listen to (MAINLY 4:06-7:06). I also love how Page pulls back on the note completely at about 5:30....It gets me every time. It is so sudden and spectacular. He always found little ways to make you love a song. I was wondering what everybody else thinks about this track. Edited November 24, 2008 by BlackDog71

pinky
It's okay. I would have liked to see what they would have done with it on the U.S. 1980 tour.
euro
It's okay. I would have liked to see what they would have done with it on the U.S. 1980 tour. If they had play it live perhaps the lyrics would have been intelligible
danelectro
I love it, not a surprise since ITTOD is my fave Zep album.
Rock Action
Lose that horrible, cheesy synth and it's wonderful. But that just kills it for me.
BUCK'EYE' DOC
Too long and boring for my tastes, but not everyone likes the same things. I love "All of My Love" whereas many do not care for it.

Electrophile
I'd rather listen to Stairway 100 times in a row than listen to this song once. And I really don't care for Stairway that much to begin with.
longdistancewinner
Didn't like it at first, but has since grown on me. Not my favourite nor is it the worst.
bigstickbonzo
Has the best transition of any Zeppelin song.. the crazy hi-hat shuffle into a nice calming falling riff into that slow, trance-like beat.

lzfan715
I love it. Yeah, the synth is a little bit cheesy and strange for Zep, but aren't we all a little bit cheesy and strange at times?

caroselambra~
i remember listening to an interview with jonesy many years ago. i think he was becoming the driving force of the band at that period. he said it was actually a new keyboard he had just acquired that spurred him to spur the others in to the studio for *in through the out door* he ended up swapping the same instrument for a 3 piece suite with someone - i think it was rick wakeman. ...or so he said
The Dark Lord
Awesome song from an awesome album. It is an artifact from an era, and it shows such growth of the band. I think it is important not to judge the sound as dated, because it is an audible documentary of where they, and many others were, in 1979. I was there when it was released and it was fresh and relevant. Edited September 17, 2013 by The Dark Lord
