  1. Glad for you Planted! Keep up the positive thoughts and positive things will happen! As far as Facebook goes....glad I have never had anything to do with it! Zeppelin.com is all I ever need!!!
  2. Thank you lightandshade! April Lynn, what's the name of your countertop? It looks very nice!
  3. Without question there already is one. Strange that the search didn't find it. Hmmm....
  4. Not really. There's a catfish place somewhat near there on highway 192 that my in-laws love to go down to. The Kissimmee Steak House is another place they have gone to for years. Osceola County Stadium is a small ballpark, even by spring training standards. One of my favorites for sure! Went there last year. Actually I believe the Yanks played there yesterday. We're heading down to Tampa next Saturday for the Braves v. NY. Have a great time ebk!
  5. Thanks! We're just having a "lovefest" around here today, aren't we!!!
  6. Mine too! My mother's combined total as well! Oh, that doesn't too good, does it?!?
  7. Personally I believe that American-based music is purposely made to sound too similar, the 50's had many same sounding musical groups produced, the 60's and 70's had many of the same sounding "classic" rock sounding groups whether it was Southern-rock bands, west coast Country Rock, etc. then the 80's LA "Hair Metal" years and so on. It just seems like English bands are able to create their own sound and find their own niche without a slew of others being sent out to sound just like them and suck up as much money as possible. Maybe there are and we just don't hear about them over here as much. Pop Music has always been just that and there will always be a place for it. It's not necessarily "disposable" music, look at the pop music from the 50's and how popular that still is, to certain groups of people. Madonna, who had her pop music hey day in the 80's and 90's, mainly, just had a sold-out tour. So, who's to say what modern artists' longevity will be? Some on here just group it all together and say it's all shit, but time will tell if they have the staying power or not. At the end of the day, it's just music and entertainment.
  8. Thank you everybody!!! Very sweet of you all! Ally, so glad to read about your rescheduled surgery date! Great round, CP! Especially so early in the season! Btw, I think we will be partaking in something like that later tonight.... Sounds like you're gonna have a great night at Jon Stewart, ebk. Any spring training plans yet? Strider, I'll pm you about that.... Thanks again everyone!
  9. Very nice, sweetie! Hope you enjoy it and are having a relaxing day!!! Sorry for the mix up on the date, I hadn't checked the calendar - just went by what I was reading!
  10. To each his own....Scott is the sound and the style of the band, IMO. The others did nothing as 'Army of Anyone', so it's not like Robert DeLeo can write music for anyone to sing. I love the band, have seen them in concert a dozen times - if the other 3 want to pass themselves off as STP, let 'em. They will be playing in bars very quickly though. Scott is obviously difficult to work with. STP's live set has been 'Core'/'Purple' heavy since No. 4 was released - which has always bothered me.
  11. Happy today because 21 years ago I made the best decision of my life and married my bride, best friend and #1 party buddy!
  12. Happy Be-lated Birthday to you, April Lynn!! Hope you had a great day yesterday! Nutrocker, I hope you have a tremendous Friday while celebrating your 'Leap Year' birthday today!!!
  13. So the rest of the band couldn't make it as "Army of Anyone" the first time they parted ways with Weiland, so now they figure they should just continue to use the name to trick fans into buying tickets.... Give it a rest guys, Weiland was the main creative force and only member that made you relevant! Next.....
  14. Welcome, Radioactive! Looking forward to reading your posts!
  15. Great photo, Mark! Jimmy looks so much healthier than he had in close to a decade.
  16. I actually lucked into a ticket at the last minute for U2. Didn't even like them that much, until that show! What a fun night it was at the Big Sombrero.... Remember the pig bursting into flames at the Floyd show there? Every time I have seen them/Waters the pig gets pulled backstage after its appearance - but not that night! Monsters of Rock, Kingdome Come opened that show - so Zeppelinesque! First time of many seeing Metallica too! Saw the Scorps in '84 and then again in the early 90's and VH - it was the first time of 4 seeing them. Great memories at the old Tampa Stadium....oh yeah, being in the 4th row for The Who in the summer of '89 with the pinball bouncing all around the field - GREAT TIMES!!!
  17. I saw ole T'eo ran a 4.82/40?!? So he's undersized for a linebacker and too slow to be anything else on defense, plus a headcase to boot! Sounds like the Raiders might have a spot on the roster for him!
  18. Well, we usually celebrate it on March 1. Last year, being a 'Leap Year' and it being 20 years from our wedding date, we had a party with our closest friends. This year is my mother-in-laws 70th birthday, so we are throwing a surprise party at our home. So we won't "officially" celebrate it until March 8th, with things being so incredibly busy right now for the party and all. We didn't pick the 29th as our wedding date actually, but my father-in-law was playng golf on the Senior Tour and he had to play the tournament that was over the weekend of the 22nd, so since he was paying for it all - the 29th became the date. Actually it's been kinda fun having a weird date to celebrate! If I remember correctly, Nutrocker has his birthday on 2/29 also...
  19. I always thought it was Mike Stivick, aka "Meathead" from "All In The Family"! Thanks for the info, Sam, I had wondered about him myself.
  20. That's not true. Saw U2 there in '87 and Floyd also in '87, Monsters of Rock in '88 as well. Zeppelin was banned from playing there, that is/was true.
  21. Eddie's playing was much better this past tour than any of the other times I had seen him perform, so I get what you're saying Steve. Sombrero, I completely agree with your statement about the energy! When I saw them in 07/08 the energy was much greater than this past time. Plus the set list was better too! When they performed songs off ...Truth, they seemed more energized - but overall there was not the same spark as when they came around with Dave/Wolfie the first time.
